[AAR] Last Night on TCombat.com Server

Post by Psycho_Sam »

Had some great fun playing PR last night. I started playing PR at 0.1 but then stopped after 0.6 and came back for 0.8 and it reminded me how you can still have great games and teamwork with random pubs. :p

I was squadleading a squad "VOIP" on the TCombat.com server and even though our team co-ordination wasn't all that great our squad was working well and at times worked perfectly along side other squads.

Kashan
We started off on Kashan Desert on MEC and got airlifted to the South Village, capped and then got taken into South Bunker, however we got shot down on route. So we spawned back at main got a command Truck and set up a firebase near the South Bunker and defended it for quite some time. However eventually our spawns got overrun so we had to spawn back at main. Anticipating the battle we hiked it over to South Village (no transport available) and set up a rally in the hills.

As we were approaching the South village we encountered some enemy armour which I lased and our jet swooped in and hit the tank. It didn't destroy it but chased it away so that we could cross the open and advance into the village. However on the way enemy infantry entered in Humvee's and an APC turned up and around that time we had a commander who knew what he was doing and so I called a JDAM in on the flag and BOOM enemy destroyed. 8-)

Once we got into the village we had some infantry shooting at us up on the hills so I lased them and again our jet came in and strafed them all to hell. We ultimatley lost the map but I still enjoyed working with the squad who were responsive to commands and didn't mind defending for long periods (the rest of the team seemed to spend all their time at main base!)

Muttrah
Some terrible team co-ordination again I am afraid (I am sure people don't realise there are boats and APC's on this map!). We were the first squad ashore and the only one with a rally point for ages and we capped the docks and then advanced with the ambition of creating a firebase. However we called and called for some crates and eventually a Huey responded only to be painstakingly shot down 50m away from our location. Needless to say we never got our crates..

We tried advancing but 2 vodniks and an APC wiped us out on route and our rally point was overrun. Our team had a firebase at the docks now but for some reason most of the squad could not spawn on it so we had to keep trekking from the carrier by boat/APC. We then recapped the docks which had been recapped whilst we were all respawning and defended for the rest of the game.

Barracuda
On Barracuda we spawned at Supplies and went to the defensive fort area on the west side of the area and set up a firebase and AA emplacements. For a good time we kept the Helis at bay and managed to shoot down quite a few racking up kills. The enemy tried to land on the North Western peninsula ahead of us and build a firebase however our marksmen and heavy AT along with another squad soon saw to that. The swamp got captured and we fell back to the Airstrip but soon after 2 squads rolled up in Hummers and for some reason the laser target didnt work and they capped the point.

Supplies fell soon after and we spent the remainder trying to cap it back and then hold it under heavy fire. We even found a cool way into the caves underneath thanks to Cheesy. :p

As per not playing long. I had Vent blazing in my ear cause the server was full so I had to hop off and go play on a different server with a few of the Ducks.

Yes if people haven't noticed? When I am in your squad / on your team your not likely to win. I usually don't start as swiss cheese but I tend to attract enough bullets to get mistaken for it by the end of the evening. About all I am good for is a semi-british really bad speech pattern from hanging around to many of you islanders and medicing nearby people.

Yeah but the thing is then we can use you as a decoy, send you the opposite way, the enemy riddle you with bullets whilst we sneak up behind and knife them all and teabag their dead corpses. Oh and I suppose we could come revive you if we remember.
