Make a Recon squad.

You will require 3-4 people.

1. Squad leader (Officer Kit) SPOTTER
2. Sniper
3. Pilot
POSSIBLY 4. Marksman


Basically, get your pilot to get into a little bird.

Everybody gets in, he drops you in the mountains. TADA, it's total domination. This may seem to basic, but if your pilot is good, and Squad leader knows which positions are good. Then they won't spot the chopper, and they won't know where you are. The spotter and sniper MUST be a little more than 20 feet apart. And the Marksman has to be dropped at another position.

Once the Cobra is in the air, the Squad leader has SOFLAM to laser designate enemies.

SOFLAM is obviously used for Spotting enemies for the snipers as well.

Seen it used and it works well, just make sure you have a commander coordinating Cobra strikes.
Also, dont risk the cobra to take down a firebase. Just go 007 with a pilot-kit from a LB flying 400m+
It works every single time and usually the pilot is able to land right on top of the thing. Especially the allmost inevitable one on mosque is easy to get.

It's always better to have the cobra and spotter in one squad.

I have actually hidden as a spotting group in the buildings SE of mosque and north of South City and been able to give intel on vehicles leaving MEC main. You can also give intel on MEC ops in the mosque (they always come onto the roof) as well as anything driving down the road near the coast.
