[JPEG Heavy] Using PRSP as Zombie Mod

Well, me and a few mates had just played a pretty awesome round of Al Basra on PRSP and had a fair bit of fun with the content from Special Forces in the Sniper Kit.

So after that we fancied something different, unfortunately one mate had to leave, leaving us just 3 humans. Nevertheless, D_K_Head thought of an idea; start up a small map, loads of bots and set the ratio so they were all on the other team, we would have to fight for freedom!

Unfortunately the battle ended when the Zombies (Insurgents) captured the FOB, and I was killed, leaving no spawn point for the rest of the team as our rally had been overrun, VoxFree was next to die and was left unable to spawn, we tried leaving and re-joining the squad to spawn on D_K_Head, but we weren't able to re-join while dead. D_K_Head survived to the end until the tickets bled out.

It was a great game, we had immense fun and got to use a large range of kits, most of my kills were with the sniper kit or when I used the Officer and I got extremely good with the ACOG.

Thanks to everyone on the PRSP team, you gave us the best PR Experience so far.

(By the way, if you are wondering how we played together, I hosted a local server and the other two joined over Hamachi, I have a 3Meg download speed and a 1Meg upload speed to there was hardly any lag, as seen by D_K's ping.)

hehe, nice 1! never did that before, i have to check it out some time soon. :p

That sounds like it was a lot of fun and just goes to show the different scenarios you can make up with PRSP and have a different game every time.... nice one.

I used to play this way in vbf2, 3-5 players on one side and lots of bots as an OPFOR (+/- 30)...

Make sure you slide the bot difficulty was set to 50 by default. :razz:

It was Ramiel with bot difficulty at its lowest, were gunna up it allot tonight if we play.

EDIT: I might start up a leaderboard and people can post how long they last, will have to set some rules for it though lol.

I say we make a BHD Ramiel type map, the only objectives are 2 downed blackhawks, and maybe a building with a group of stranded soldiers.
USA gets
3 HMMWVs
1 MH6
1 MH60
2-3 Strykers.
Then we get a load of guys in the server, so we can reanact the movie :D

Love it, gonna have to try this out with you :)

BTW, did you use Hamachi, I'm guessing? I'd love to try it out, you'll just have to guide me through it though when I do. :?

Interesting thought to add: any way to cause the first two shot down BHs to become new flags?

I feel like it's unlikely, but that would be really neat. Pay a bit of tribute to Shugart and Gordon.

Your not going to get a very good experience with a low setting for the bot difficulty you will need to crank it up to 0.9... bots will be very dumb otherwise.... I've coded it so that 0.9 is the optimal setting.

haha nice! i did this in basrah 32 with a friend. i went spec ops and he went sniper. we rushed to the hotel roof downtown via landy and i grabbed the .50 cal on the roof(not there in MP PR =p) and we held them off getting loads of kills, we had to suicide coz we ran out of ammo =p

We tried it again last night with bot difficulty on 30 and the amount of bots upped to 40, with Me, DK, VoxFree, Scot and Robbi. It went pretty well but we are definitely going to up the difficulty next time.

We tried it as insurgents as well, god they are useless against 40 US soldiers.

Like I said you need it on 90, 30 is for whimps and is less than vBF2

Hmm does the difficulty setting do anything to the behavior of the bots aside from everyone headshoting each other while walking and grenadiers sending 203s through a 30x30cm window at 400m? :p
