How can I take an asset off a map?

I want to take the AAVs off kashan since it is way to spammy, how do I go about removing it?

ya, id like to practice my rockets/guns on a10 and hydras for apache but just cant get anywhere close near the bunkers on kashan


its like training server x10 for aa

We will make it a little easier for you all in a patch sometime in the future.

The Tunguska is actually the most devastating vehicle in SP.
It's fully operational with a solo bot and can destroy anything by itself.

But until then, be more careful!

FYI, it can't fire on anything beyond 250 meters i believe.
But it will spot you from a much greater distance and wait for you to travel into it's 'web'.

So in other words just don't play kashan because the bots just huddle in a massive anti air/armour/inf/cake formation?

Like I said, we will lighten it up a bit.

Completely up to you if you want to play Kashan or not.

God forbid they don't wait for you to get the first shot in when you decide to approach the enemy convoy.

The only problem with it is the fact that you don't get laser targets painted, or that Pilots don't stabalise to let you fire a hellfire.

though if you're that worried about the AA, you can change it in the maps server files, iirc. Not sure how though, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

program files/ea games/bf2/mods/pr_sp_85/levels/kashan desert/server.zip/gamemodes/gpm_coop/64/gameplayobject.con

once your there open the .con file and replace every

ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 1 aav_tunguska

in exchange for

ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 1 jep_vodnik (or you can put what ever vehicle you want)

its a really long file, so you will have to search for them.

I would let 1 Tonguska. and Add 2 BTR's.

I think it was the 0.7 Version, it was unplayable as Airmen. Even the portatile AA's could rape your A10.. but INF kicked ***.

Some dimwit made it where we can't edit the files, RAAAAAAAA!



Hmm I just downloaded a bf2 sp trainer and enabled vehicle god mode so I could practice the shooting. yayzorz

Nother PS, Trainer causes crash, All aboard the fail boat to Kashan Desert!!!

^did you follow my directory.

ive altered a couple maps, adding tanks and FAAVs

ill work on throwing up a tutorial on how to do this tommorow.

I use winrar and it resets it every time saying I have no permission to edit the files

Then I did it without winrar and I delete the objects con and tried to replace it with the new one and it still has permission errors. Congratulations to whoever put security on this, you are a genius.

well it might have been set up a little differently since you got the installer.

but like he said just set the entire levels folder read-only "unchecked"

well to be honest, ive kinda put the whole PR devs in a weird spot.
Im endorsing modding in a mod community, guys dont like too see their hard work tampered with.

i understand your frustration, since ive never downloaded any mod with out tweaking it to my fancy.

but like i said, ppl like to see their work admired for what it is.

(fyi) you can mod it if you do what what me and the other dude just suggested.
