This is a promblem inside gameplay that I have been expereincing ever since I got the game, but I could never find a solution to it.
NOTE: I play singleplayer so this is a prom in singleplayer
About a couple minutes ingame the gameplay starts getting choppy and gets slower and slower. I could equivalentize it with someone pausing and unpausing every 3 seconds. I have noted that this happens every time the AI start shooting at each other in large amounts (like every 3 shots to a second or 1 shot to every 3 seconds) The gameplay works better when I am farther away from the fighting, hence less shooting noise, but also not as fun gameplay without anything to shoot at.
Now that I have told you the promblem, what I think causes it, now its time for system specs...

Well I see a few things wrong, One is you have no graphics card listed so I cannot tell you what the exact problem is, but your cpu is an intel D which is not a great duel core especially for gaming I have a D and it sucks on bf2.

Secondly bf2 AI takes allot out on your system I always lagged in single player, you can try to adjust the amount of bots to a lower number and that will help allot. I noticed going from 64 down to 32 bots solved all my lag problems in SP.

on a small note its spelled problem not promblem, the thread title was kinda misleading.

Edit: if you don't know your video card model, select start menu, select Run, type in Dxdiag, press enter and click the Display tag, under device it will say your video card model.

I don't know were to find the graphics card, sorry. My PC runs BF2142 and BF2 on highest graphics perfectly its just PR that it dosn't run well. I have tried lowering the bots too.. I figured that would do it, but theres a prom with that too, whenver I put say 16 bots, it puts 16 bots on second team and the rest of the 48 on the other team. let me get that video card and see...

your post before that had all the info we require

your grafics driver looks out-dated you can get the current one here: GeForce Release 182
or
Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
(click on the "Graphics Drivers" button in the "Option 2" section
or search for "GeForce 7300 LE" manually)

looks like your system is ok - but it is not high-end
I suggest running the game with medium or low Video settings
turning down the bot number is definitly worth a try too!

other than that I think your system reached its limits

I got the new Thing you asked to download and installed it. I said whenever I try to decrease the bot count it just makes an unequal ddistrubution of bots on each team, so I am always stuck for the res tof my life having 48 bots and a lagy game, I want about 16 bots, but whenver I do that it puts 16 on my team and 32 on the other team.

SO HERE IS THE PROMBLEM unequal distribution of bots,in other words it won't let me decrease Number of bots.

Wait... I can run 1942, BF 2142, and BF2 with 48+ bots on highest graphics wothout any glitches whatsoever, so why is it just on PR I get the Promblem?

Well PR is a very graphics intensive mod it takes allot more than bf2 does, your video card is not good at all, I have the same problem as you with the bots though, It will always have 32 bots on my team and there will be 16 bots on the other team regardless of how many bots I set, this must be a problem with PR Sp it self.

Other than that if you have the money upgrade your Processor and video card and you will get better performance, or alternatively turn down your graphics and especially your resolution. Stop saying promblem its making me laugh uncontrollably and its hard to help you .


Edit: Ok I know this works in bf2 mods so lets try it in PR.

Ok get into your bf2 folder goto mods goto prsp goto AI

Than select the file AIdefault right click and open it with notepad,

now comes the tricky part you need to edit the line Aisettings.setmaxnbots

there is 2 of them so set them both to 32 players or what ever number of bots you want it will look something like this

Yes and No - you're drivers are newer and (probably) better but the video card
(hardware) remains " slightly outdated".Also BF2 single only has 16p maps unlike
PRSP.

Honestly with his video card updating your drivers every week aint gonna do nothing, he just needs a new card eventually. I can say I have a 9800gtx+ upgrading your drivers every time there is a new release doesn't always help performance sometimes it even hurts it, just test out what drivers work best for you.

I changed the number of bots from 64 to 24 at the aiDefault folder located in the AI folder, anyways things run much better now, Thanks for the support!
