Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me where to change the time delay for the APC Gunner? Ive had a look in the tweak for the Warrior but Im still unsure.

Any help would be appreciated

I believe it is controlled via a python script.

So I guess that means its hard coded into the mod, non-changeable?

Not hardcoded, but buried in compiled Python.

Perhaps the DEVs could supply PRSP with an additional .tweak file that doesn't compromise the security of the PRMP version's compiled script.

Been talked about before here.

Open up the realityconfig_local.py file with NOTEPAD
(could be the realityconfig_private.py file, however. Forget which one is for SP and which one is used for Coop)

Find these in the /pr_sp_08/python/game folder

Look for these lines...

# Enable/Disable start delay on vehicles
# Default is enabled
VEHICLES_START_DELAY = 1

change the 1 to 0

Back up both files beforehand just in case you want to revert back or you completely f*ck them up.

I always thought the delay was buried with the kit request system and other key parts of the mod in those .pyc files. Thanks for proving me wrong!

It won't completely get rid of the 'warm up' times for all the vehicles, but it does help.

For example, the turret warm up on tanks is reduced to how long it takes to reload a shell (around 8 seconds???), not the full 30 seconds

This won't help warm up the helis any faster, however.

how do you open with notepad? i right click on it but i can't find open with>, just open and when i click it, it comes up with windows cannot open this fine blah blah.

Here's at least 3 ways you can do it:

1. Run Notepad by itself, and find the file using the [FILE] [OPEN] Dialog.
1a. To run notepad by itself, hit [START], [RUN], and type in "notepad" (no quotes)

2. Open a shell, cd to the correct directory, and type "notepad <filename>"
2a. to open a shell, hut [START], [RUN], and then type "cmd" (no quotes)
2b. to change directories, type "cd C:\<directory name>"

3. Find the .py file in Windows explorer, right click on 'OPEN', and use the "select program from list" option. Scroll down the window to "notepad".

1) doesnt work cuase it doesnt show up (the file) 2) i dont know what a shell is and 3) how do u open windowws explorer? ican only open internet explorer)

To answer #1 - Try selecting ALL FILES (*.*) in the file dialog window.

but no files come up! i go into notepad, click file, open then go to the python folder. i click all files, and every file shows up in other folders but when i go into python, it doesnt work!they dont show up

hay hay, wait a sec, IT WORKS Thanks M40.

But how do i edit the .tweaks in the WINRAR objects? because when i try access them the same way as the python folder, it stops working and i have to end prosess.
