Huey Help

I'm not sure this is where I should post this, but I need serious help with the Huey. I can take off, fly, and land all the other choppers in the game, but I decided to learn the huey since it's one of the most prevalent, and I can't seem to get off the ground except maybe one in ten times. Everytime I get in, I wait for the spool up, (around 30 - 45 seconds), then, first I tried just jamming the throttle up to see if that works, but it just rolls the chopper, then I tried a gradual power up, but half the time that rolls me as well. How do the pro huey pilots take off? I am so confused.

I think you just need to wait more. And if its about to roll press s to stabilize it. Then wait like 10 seconds and take off.

startup time 30+ seconds' then engine warmup seems to be something like 2mins. It's very sluggish. So once started take off straight up, don't try and turn.

I've had this off and on it almost seems. It eventually will perform at it's maximum effectiveness, but it is sluggish getting there, taking the 30 seconds to warm it up, and a varying amount of time to get maximum thrust, as smee has said.

yea huey takes a long while to warm up properly. Rolling over is just a warm-up thing imo.

I go into a huey, take out my book, read a few pages, take off. i would recommend taking off after 1 minutes as 45 seconds for me isnt quite enough, the huey will just lift a couple of feet then slowly climbs, but 1 minute somewhat completely warms up the aircraft, thus when you take off, its all the way to the sky.

Each aircraft varies a little bit, its not exactly 30 seconds on each one. Just the huey is in the extreme.

The UH-1N Iroquois Twin Huey is ancient, therefore it will take longer to warm up.

I wait 2 mins before taking off with the huey.
And I am a very good huey pilot, so please take this from me:
Hueys maximum warm up time is 1:45-2:00 mins

I wait for it to warm up, put thrust at full for about 3 seconds, then i put thrust to as low as it can for about 3 seconds. Then it fly's like normal.
