EJOD US Tactic

Well, i currently have nothing to do, so i decided to write this down, because many people dont get it.
As much as EJOD Desert map looks simple, it takes patience and skill to win it.
1.
Firstly, US needs to have organized transport, Strykers im talking about. Get them filled up with infantry, deploy them in the south part of the city ASAP. When that is done, You can do whatever you can with them as your troops dont need transport at the moment.
A spare squad can do a FOB at the gas station.
2. AT weapons are important. Have at least 1 HAT and 2 LATs + TOW HMMW. TOWHMW should be deployed in the area of gast station (east or west side), and HAT on the other side. LATs are in the city as squadmembers so the can defend from APCs.
3. This is the basic layout now, grunts are capping, AT support is held back. The idea is to cap the city before your enemy does. AT support must "catch" the tank, as thy commonly come from E dunes or W part behind the concrete wall.
Here it is, 3 simple steps, wich are simple, but require skill. After Tanks is dead and city is reasonably cleared, then its not hard to rush the last MEC flag. Plus M4 is superior in CQB.

yeah once the tank is dead all you need is a standard issued weapon for the BTR-60s, just shoot them in the tires.

Nice simple guide focusing both on initial width as well on initial depth.
Could be interesting if you followed it up with a similar guide for the opposing faction as well.

I tend to drop my guys off, give them ammo, then run away until the tank is dead. Strykers are very good at dying on Ejod, especially since the TOW has to go hunting, it can't escort them.

once secureing the northern part of the city, move youre HAT up on the stairs where the old gardens flag was. it can overlook the whole area, evilhomer got there a few times with his HAT killing all apc's twice and a tank xD

I usually run in the TOW squad on Ejod and we have our own little working strategy that has worked at least for our squad several times. Have a Hat, saw gunner, medic, the squad lead, and a gunner. Park up just behind the burm on the west side of the map with just the tow overlooking, the rest of the squad gets out and gets on the burm. The east side is too hilly and too much of a risk unless you know exactly where the target is.
So just lie in wait, the tank or apc comes around the corner we take it down before he even sees us. They crest the hills closest to the city, again they go down. Driving around the hills you have to keep looking around and sometimes the driver doesnt exaclty let you take the perfect shot. Ive had times where my perfect shot was ruined because the driver moved or in the few times stopped while driving in a straight line.

Just a side note, M4 is not superior in CQB, It is personal taste
I personally find the G3 just as effective with Full auto 7.62

The most important thing on this map is to have FBs on North Desert and Gas Station, with a squad defending it. The E and W sides of the map are easy to flank and if both sides are fighting hard for the city and your team loses the upper hand then you can bet the enemy has already destroyed your FB at your rear flag and are capping and you have to move in form your main...not good.
When attacking the city you need a FB on your side, the outskirts are best and you need to have a squad defending it, because if you lose it you lose the city.
In the city you need to corner off section with each available squad taking a different corner. Move through the different areas this way so when one corner is attacked the two close corners can provide cover while the furtherest away squad can try to flank.
Once the city is under control you should be able to build a FB in the city and defend it with everything you have, set up defensive position and wait for the enemy to come to you. Game over.

the reason that the us team usually looses this map is because the tow humvee gets taken out too quickly and the tank can do too much damage before being taken out by a hat or something.
When I play MEC side, first thing I do is go TOW hunting with a squad. a Sniper takes out the driver or the gunner, sets the TOW Humvee back a minute or two, if a Hat kills the tow humvee, US team is usually fucked. Thats why the best thing the US can do is hold the TOW humvee back and wait for enemy armor to be spotted in the field, then it can move forward and kill the armor.
