Just a point, you know that you guys retired your A-4's like, ages ago?

They still get used in NZ. They aren't deployed to foreign war zones anymore though. We have them in the design plan because there was a map based in NZ being made.Innomadic wrote:Just a point, you know that you guys retired your A-4's like, ages ago?

The HMNZS Canterbury was build in the Netherlands at the Merwede shipyard, if you contact them perhaps they are willing to help you to some blue prints?

NZ really has no need for its own fighter jets at present. We just use CAS from other Coalition aircraft.

Re: References [Image Heavy]
At the moment we do not use out A-4s at all. We are attempting to sell them but are so far unsuccessful. We were going to upgrade to some F-16s but that plan ended with a change of government.
So the A4s are still in storage. And in a theoretical war with a major power, NZ would probably purchase some new aircraft and/or bring back the A-4s. It happened in World war two, it could happen again.

We bought some new jets a few years ago, but they got left in the rain one day and rooted. This is not a joke!

Just wondering did you guys get permission from the New Zealand Government before modelling their defense force?
I can understand why you wouldn't bother asking the Taliban.
