We were defending a cache in house next to a high grass field (sorry can't remember the grid). The cache location had 2 entrances. A doorway from the road and the grass field next to the house.
One of us had his eyes on the doorway from the outside and the rest of us pointed our full-auto guns towards the grass field.
One of us had a specialist kid and placed two tripflares in the grass about 50m away from us.

The US forces were close and we knew that they were coming. The moment 1 of the tripflares went off, all hell broke lose. Everyone sprayed their AK's and PKM's in the bushes as if there was a Predator* somewhere



Result: Incoming squad all dead and a "Holy shit" in the chat

Try to get the BR files. I wanna see it

First time I've heard of tripflares bieng used intelligently, and not spammed in a factions main base. Nice job.

I thought it was on the UK Insurgency server, but i'm not really sure

i use trip flares for caches parties on the ins side

Guess you got lucky on the fact that they actually hit the flares in that field... but still: excellent use of tripflares :d never been able to use them in such a good way

It's a thing a rifleman specialist carries. He puts it down on the ground and when someone stumbles over it a incendiary grenade effect and sound is made (without damage though).




Most of my tripflares simply don't go off... Guess now everyone rises their legs to their chest when walking...
