OPERATION ARCHER, ON THE HILL

We injured a huey pilot when he did a reckless low pass over us, he put the chopper down next to the cache we were defending so we slotted him then went to take a look at our new helicopter, it wasn't even smoking. we kept them from coming to get it for ages and ages but eventually the Admins got p@;sed off with us for relentlesly taking the p@:s out of the American team, the admins somehow teleported it back to their main as i was walking next to it!!??? Anyway, i got some great pictures of the lads posing in front of it--

That server's admins can act like idiots sometimes...
So did you kill the pilot by shooting him out of the huey while it was landed or did he actually get out?
How long was it held hostage?

Heh cool stuff. They maybe killed the pilot inside with 50cal while he was flying low & slow, happened to me once too and my chopper stayed intact.

Damn can't find the screenshot but we "capped" once Scimitar near the Mosque in Basrah (dome of death FTW), something like this too. It's hilarious

One time on Barracuda this happened with the attack huey, except the co-pilot survived the crash landing on the beach, and we all came up to him yelling "Hands up! Out of the chopper and put your hands in the air!" and then he just jumped out and ran away, so we gunned him down.

They sent another Huye to try and take it back, but we hit it with a LAT right as the other Huey landed.
It's always fun to take out a Huey as Taliban too.
Then you can stand on top of it with RPGs and Stingers and look like the Mujahideen in the 1980's after they've shot down a Russian chopper.

I didnt think assets blew up on there own like on vanilla in PR anymore, admin probably blew it up, unless they had some kind of "sandbox mod tool" and picked it up.
Shame really, taliban earned the asset and poor admining ruined it should have had ur picture with it then blown it up, end of the day the US are the ones loosing the tickets over it

he got out, we found him and murdered him in cold blood on the spot.
We had the huey for at least an hour!!!

No, read my post or listen to me........I was SL, i was at the cache, we heard it winding up so went legging it over to it and a guy had crept up and got it started, i and another squad member were running towards it and it just vanished, didn't blow up, didn't roll off hill, didn,t fly off, vanished after about 5 seconds winding up!!!!

We went crazy because this game IS meant to be Project Reality after all!!??

This reminds me of Star Wars: Episode I, when Obi and Yoda were discussing why Kamino was erased from the archives and how no one can erase data from the Jedi archives. Draakon reminds me of Obi.

It's the Virginia RRF server.

The admins there might have flung the guy in the heli, a really stupid and cheap way to do things like that.

Ohhhhhh, yeah, I was on that server when it happened.
I rememebr a big argument between everyone and some guys were angry 'cause they said the Huey just "dissapeared".
I didn't really ask what was going on though, but I certainly remember now.

And about what Hoboknighter said, yes, I absolutely remember someone on the US team being flung before this argument started.
The US was losing pretty bad, too, (they lost without any caches destroyed) so I wouldn't be suprised if the admins did that to destroy the chopper out of frustration.

Then again, are you sure it didn't just take off before the 30 second time limit?
Because some pilots have ways of getting the helicoper airborne before the 30 seconds are up.

That 30-second limit exception is notable, and although I'm not positive, I'm fairly confident the OP was serious when he said the huey just disappeared, and that he most likely would've either heard or seen it fly away, not just disappear.

Additionally, the standard limit PR has on the decay of vehicles after no one has used them is 2 hours, and the OP said it was only about 1 hour since it was used by the US when it disappeard. That, and the vehicle blows up, not dissappears.

Thats right, your were on the server, they didn't get one cache, it was the viginia server. the admins were totally p@:sed with us taking the p@:ss about our new toy.

OK AND ONCE AND FOR ALL, the chopper just dissapeared/ vanished, right infront of my eyes,

So, I believe the whole disappearing thing.

Yeah, they even have a thing on their server description that says: "Admins may reserve vehicles from time to time. We pay, we play!" or something along those lines.
Which basically means any time Barracuda, Muttrah, or Jabal rolls around, an admin makes a "Attack Huey" or "Trans Huey" squad, locks it, and invites other clan members to join.

It has happened every single time I have played those maps on the Virginia server.
Pretty stupid.
No other server does that except them.

So I wouldn't be at all suprised if they did something unsportsmanlike to get rid of the downed Huey.

Haha nice Huey there. I once ran out in front of a tank on Basrah as a civi. It had gone inside the city. When they saw me both of the asshats jumped out and ran after me only to step on a trap and kill themselves. Hahahahaha.
