[AAR] Operation Barracuda in 87 beta, a SLs perspective.

I posted this in the feedback thread for 87b. Since it reads like an AAR I decided to copy it here for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
So today I was beginning a round on Operation Barracuda on the TG server. I was disappointed because we had just gotten off Operation Archer and everyone was saying we should go to Muttrah City at the end. The server map was changed because the game was not good for the U.S.
So i'm like "Damn, this map is going to suck. I don't like Barracuda!". So I create a infantry squad to take command of a combat element. I knew we would have to establish a strong FOB presence on the island as well as sticky together to concentrate our firepower if we wanted to win this map.
We set up at airport and make our way to North Rock obj. Originally I was going to set up a FOB there while the huey uses the giant rock as cover and drops us in water, but it just happened to be one of the two first objectives to take. Way too hot.
We set up a good FOB at airport and move behind squad 4 towards north rock. As they take it we hold in the trenches covering beach fort as that is an objective as well. It goes good. We take it and my squad regroups on North Rock. Area is declared clear enough for helo ops and we get a supply drop for FOB. Now I had to make a choice here.
At the time we had 2 main infantry squads, mine and S4. We were the main combat power. I had to decide if our squads should have one defend North Rock or we just go all out. My squad was full while S4 lost two players. So I decided to keep my AR and 1 rifleman at North to defend. The AR is quite capable in defense and while we wouldn't have it with us - as long as we're with S4 we should have enough combat power to overcome the Docks objective enemy.
On route while in trenches we spotted a HMG on the crater edge. I make the tactical decision to change route and take our enemy FOB to prevent reinforcements to Docks. We succeed and set up base.
This is where things get good for me as a squad leader. I get reports from my two buddies at North Rock there is an enemy squad approaching. On the tactical map I see S4 at the bridge south of Docks. I am faced with the tough choice of supporting S4 to ensure we get Docks are returning to North Rock before the defenders are possibly overwhelm.
We had a great defensive position there to assault beach objective and had an objective. We did not want to lose that. So I make the choice to return. Run into enemies and take care of them. Regroup at North Rock. We're running operations in and out of that place like a U.S. base to get artillery marks up, a player to take up comm temporarily, and pickups to regroup the squads. It was great and felt real, active, and dangerous.
Our pacing was slow and cautious and more intense. The system works great. I also like how I can designate someone.. ANYONE as SL and it won't matter if he gets the SL spot as much as it did before. Sure, it will effect it as you cannot communicate with the commander and have firm control over CAS capabilities - but sometimes the person designated SL isn't the best for the job. It isn't about a SL abilities in-game but the abstract idea of how he coordinates and maximizes each team player's ability to help win the game in a fun manner.
I love the system - even not on a map I like. Insurgency maps may need work but I do not know. I haven't played them enough with the Beta.
