[Map] Bagdhad (2km) [WIP]
** AUGUST 2018 UPDATE INFO:
I am currently working on a new French map which has incredible detail, and hence to massive amount of time required. I feel the new map would be much more worthy of Bagdhad. With the right static objects in Bagdhad and a good 20+ hours of terrain paining / under/over growth detail, I would consider it to be complete. I do hope to finalise this map in the next 6 months. **
So, to those whom played or tested my older version of Baghdad in the last 2 years, forget it!
I hereby present a few screenies of Baghdad V2. Since V1, the map has undergone some major changes to represent baghdad both in its current and past days during the war on iraq. Mixing and matching the landmarks of baghdad, I have collaborated the best into this 2km multi terrain map.
Ive also had a lot more mapping experience in the last year and have learned a lot more about mapping standards of which i hope to meet and maybe push this forward one day for possible release into the mod.
The map is still suitable for the PMC if and when the faction is complete, but for now, its perfect as a USMC vs Insurgency gamemode with so many different cache locations. Oh how epic it could be.
Screenies..... Enjoy!
WIP - USMC Entry point / Makeshift VCP
Dora - City outskirts (South)
Upperclass Housing
City (Al Faw District)
The only Surviving Mall in Iraq
Sort of....
WIP City Train Station
Al Faw Palace
I will upload a few more at a later date, the minimap wont be done until very last.

Good choice, but Id say leave more room on the western[left] side of the river. I mean, at the midpoint on the far west, its got that little sliver to cross from top half to bottom half of map, but its a small sliver... would be way gamey to have that area get blocked off my like, one rifleman when in reality youd have all the terrain out west to use. Know what I mean?

Re: [Map] Project Reality comes to Bagdhad [WIP]
please don't use the BSS and PR logos in your video since its not an official BSS or PR video. We can do you for copyright for that stuff, if I really wanted I could flag it on youtube for copyright and they would take it off since you have used thous logos, but I'm not. Dont do it again please, thank you.

Re: [Map] Project Reality comes to Bagdhad [WIP]
i see lots of badly used statics..
the barn
the mosque in the middle of nowhere...
the underground facility is just awfull...
i got the feeling that the objects where just thrown into it without any thought...
i know its just wip but you still have lots to do and improve IMO...

without causing an arguments but, by law it contains material of BSS (pr mod) and ea games so if anything it should have an EA games logo on it too. Thats like saying "Take the badges off my car if your racing it on tv"[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:please don't use the BSS and PR logos in your video since its not an official BSS or PR video. If anything its only giving BSS a good name as luntic.ops is the most seen Project reality video star.maker in the world.

Re: [Map] Project Reality comes to Bagdhad [WIP]
You can't use the BSS logo, it's copyrighted. BSS logo represent what's been produced by BSS and not EA, if BSS don''t want you to use their logo or whatever intellectual property belonging to them, they're in right to.
Lots and lots of problems with this map...
You really need to think about what you're doing with this because currently it doesn't look wip, it looks half-baked and awful. Why such large caves? Are there really underground facilities as big as this in Bagdhad? In any case, it needs more detail... Now it just looks like a rift with a roof on top.
The Saxon? No.
The villages can be improved, the streets are simply gigantic, I believe even if those are car-streets they're too big. Gameplay wise it'll piss insurgents.
The suburbs are waaaaay too repetitive : Same house for like 10 compounds and not even rotated. City suffers the same problem... There's also a bad use of statics : A barn in middle of hesco!?
I suggest you leave the underground-facility idea for later, try to make a decent city with surroundings first. Trying to make this underground cave too soon distracts you and seems a bit too ambitious when the mapmaking has just been started.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but you need to work on your map more methodically.
