I consider myself decent with armor overall, but have had a lot of trouble doing well with the Stryker on Karbala (which is incidentally my favorite map). Relative to Basrah, Karbala has a lot more of the map covered with dense inner-city terrain - so your effectiveness in the stryker is limited if you remain outside the city. But at the same time, if you go into the city (for example, to cover the long north/south and east/west roads), you open yourself up to sneak attacks from bomb cars, IEDs, and RPGs, and even RKGs.
To make matters worse, I've found mobility with the strykers is also limited by the relatively little amount of wide open space. For example, trying to go from the US main to the south side of the city can easily get you killed if you try to use the open strip of land between the river and the east edge of the city, since it's so narrow and vulnerable to RPG's fired from the nearby rooftops.
Does anyone have any tips for how to use the strykers on this map? Ideally I'd like to be able to survive a whole round and have my gunner rack up at least 30 or so kills.

Hey mate i've been an apc/stryker driver/gunner since the very beginning and play on karbala alot mainly me and my clan member rack up over 40+kills a round including a bigred and garry last match we actually got 3 garry's by shooting out the driver and letting the littlebird destroy em.
the best strategy on karbala is to have two stryker's watching each other.this way the bomb cars have no way of getting close.
remeber to keep your distance from the city stay out in the desert and do laps around not full circle but out towards the refinery at the bottom left of the map back around to main have one watch the city roads and the other watching the desert, shacks and the refinery.
remeber to drive around 150 - 250m then stop and scan the rooftops and doorways visable to you and youll always get lucky.
If you get damaged by say an RPG RTB(return to base) ASAP dont hang around looking for him.but if he misses look and move do not stay stationary thats a big no no.
if one gets destroyed or badly damaged (cant move) get the other Skyler on over watch until repairs arrive.if you would like more information on tactics just let us know .
have fun see you on the battlefield

Learn to hold back when you see enemies, most of the time you will drive into a deadly ambush. And especially on karbala look out for the garbage on the street, because there always mines in it.

Don't go into the city, stay in the desert.
Make sure you have someone decent on the gun. Aim isn't important, its how fast they can lock onto the bearing of an enemy. Some people take 20 seconds to find a bearing on the compass.
Always have the driver looking for other targets, looking to the rear every 20 seconds.
Don't go near buildings where an RPG can fire down on you.
If you speculate that a civilian has revived/used the resuscitate tool/has spawned within one minute, kill them. Your team will get the intel back through shotgun kills anyway.
Even if they don't ask for transport but are sitting around, drive in front of the walking infantry and offer to give them a lift.
Always have the driver/an infantry scout hop out and inspect the bridge for bad things before moving over it.
If you can, get a dismount team comprised of a specialist and have them sit in the F8 position for the good passenger view. If you think there could be baddies around a corner/in a building, have him go check it out.

Re: Tips for Stryker use in Karbala?
I have a suggestion that applies for the stryker and abrams on Karbala. Make a combined armor squad for 3 reasons...
1.better comunication which in battle equates to more survival and easier infantry advances because of the covering fire from the armor
2.strykers (that respawn) can help protect the abrams (which doesnt) from bomb cars, ieds, and mines basically advanced scouts and sercurity
3. tank has heavy firepower (120mm HE/AP rounds incase you didnt know) good for targets that are hidden and need to be taken down by indirect fire outside of stryker .50cal
these suggestions are also good on Gaza strip map where apcs have .50cals and tank is well a tank, for infantry REPORT ANY POSSIBLE BOMB CAR ACTIVITY ASAP!!!! bomb cars are the 2nd most common killer of apcs/tanks next to tanks/apcs
Another tip on 4km maps where both sides have tanks DONT BE THE HUNTER!!!!!! LET THE ENEMY COME TO YOU.
In PR where real-world tactics and advantages (heavily trained crews vs. not well trained) are gone blitzkreg tactics dont work,so well so think WWI
