[Vehicle] Agrale Marruá AM1/AM10/AM20

Post by Salmonella »

Hey folks, I just started a new model, the Agrale Marruá.

It is a light tactical vehicle, with high off-road capabilities, similar to the British LandRover
It have 4 models, that can fulfill several roles.

Image

Fast Attack Vehicle Am1
Short chassis - 1 Driver, 1 Passenger, 1 Gunner
Image

Light Transport Vehicle Am10
Long Chassis - 1 Driver, 4 Passenger
Image

Logistic Vehicle Am20
Truck chassis - 1 Driver, 1 Passenger, 1 Supplie crate
Image

Armored Command Vehicles

I started the Am1 model, it is about 4k tris, still lacks the interior and suspensions.

Opinions appreciated

Nice work Salmonella !
Just my advice, don't put too many tris on the wheels and the suspensions, it's not really needed, you can do some details with a good bump map for the wheels, and the suspensions will not be seen so much in game. ;)

I know, wheels eats up tons of tris, in fact the 4k poly count its only the body, each wheel has 1300K
I'll make a detailed version, with the better tires, screws ans holes, than bake it into normal map.
At least the front wheels supension is needed, since it will be very visible

I like to hear from the community and Devs is if theres any problem using a mounted 7.62 FN MAG, instead of usual .50, I mean, even the FARC pickups will have .50 which is way more powerfull than the MAG.

There is no issue doing that, provided it's realistic.
We will use a 7.62 cupola mg on our MBT, whereas all other MBTs use a .50 cal, but it's fine. :-)
I can't wait seeing your abilities in texturing vehicles, your houses were already promising. :-)

So be it, at least the 7.62 shouldn't overheat so easily like the .50 cal.
I have no talent making textures, in the houses I used the standard textures.
I'll make the model, Uv's and maybe the normal mapping, then I'll hand it over to Paiva to finish with the textures.

Just little update in the inteiror

It's b-e-a-uuutiful! :D

Just a tip: put at least 20 sides on the steering wheel so it looks round. It's pretty blocky with only 12 sides.

Cheers! :D

the landrover has 12 sided steering in 3p, other vBF2 has 8 sided, so 12 is a great number, for 1p I'll use a 20 sided.

Added Cupola, step tire, Gas gallon, brake lights and some sort of sunspension.

the polycount its already high, I did some optimizations, is around 8k, I think the 3p is done, I'll start its lods, 1p and wreck...
