[AAR] The invincible BTR-60

Reality Teamwork server, Muttrah city, in a BTR-60

MEC, I was an APC squad that had two BTR's at their disposal.
MotherDear and me, MendozaMan001, were manning a BTR-60, and I was the gunner.
Little did we know the legend of the invincible armored APC was about to begin.

After some infantry squashing in the city the US were getting pretty pissed at us dropping of loads of baddies and killing US like no tomorrow, using shark tactics. (IE circling around a building with two BTR's and blasting the shit out of everything that moved.) If I can count right, we got hit by LAT around 6 times, the cobra tried to kill us 3 times, and we had US resorting to running to us with mines and C4. The cobra always came in low, guns blazing, so we shot it down 3 times and we had taken out 4 LAV-25's, a few trucks and 2 Hueys all with the same BTR. We had gone in to critical "beeping" damage 7 times and we just wouldn't die. Everyone called us "The invincible BTR-60". I ran out of ammo for my guns about 5 times and we still got out of there alive. We even abandoned the APC once only to return to it right away and noticing it was still good to go.

The worst we had was that we got hit by a HAT and we were burning and getting the hell out of there, when a friendly logistics truck passes by and drops a repair crate, saving us half a second away from exploding. Man that was some crazy shit.

Me and motherdear both could not believe what was happening. The fellow APC that followed us got killed pretty much every time, one time when a suicidal marine shot a HAT in it from 5cm away, but we always had amazing luck and cobras managing to miss all their missiles from point blank and me turning around the gun and giving them a healthy breakfast of APFSDS rounds to the tail rotor.

I remember that, nice to see the BTR doing abit of LAV owning, its virtually always the other way round. Your family/girlfriends must've been worried as I assume there was alot of shouting into your computers.

Indeed, Muttrah with its narrow streets any many crossings is the perfect place for those who are masters of the steering wheel. It is a great feeling when You as a BTR have succeeded in escaping that pesky IFVs and managed it to return to base just in time as it is frustrating to get a LAT or HAT hit and beeing immobilized in the middle of the firefight.
