Every once in a while on PR you get an amazing, unforgettable game. The kind of round where every single squadmate knows the drill, and the SL isn't afraid to take strategic initiative, bringing the fight to the enemy.

Playing operation Silent eagle as the Russian army for the first time today, I have to say that It's now my favorite map.

Given transport towards the map's central town objective, our squad of 6 fought a hard house-to-house fight south through the town, taking on everything from tank crews to infantry squads to firebases to chinook helicopters. At several times, our squad was forced to re-assemble for the objective, but at long last we succeeded in capturing the city. With the squad so full of rare kits that we didn't even have a single rifleman to redistribute ammo, our squad once again set out via APC to assault a different objective, this time hill 184. pinned down by MG positions within the decaying rubble of the hill, our squad charged head-on into the fray, over-running the position and struggling for control of the flag. This continued until the end of the map. Regrettably, the Russians lost the round, but at a ending ticket count of 0:10, we were darn close. Kudos to the capable squadleader who lead us, and congrats to the talented squadmembers who followed. by our efforts alone we very nearly won the map.

cool. definately a PR round with [most] all players doing their job and fullfilling their role proper is a fine thing in life. unfortunately, most of the PR games i play have about 50% of players doing something close to what they should be doing like trnasporting the inf as an APC or leading a squad into battle as an SL

That was a fun round, I was leading the Attack helo squad which also fulfilled part time APC duties when it was downed. We only lost by 10 tickets but therewas a good amount of cohesion between all the squads.

Hill 184? Looks more like "Objective 156" to me...

Pretty lame of your team to have AA right outside the other sides airfield, but whatever floats your boat...

you're right about that... still ended up seeing quite a few chinooks inbound, however. Sides of which, was an entirely different squad responaible for putting the AA up

yeah, you're right about that. Had a faint idea that it was hill 156, but just never bothered to check :-P

You say that without context. We had built that after capping the final flag prior to Abandonned Airfield, The Clearing. It wasn't manned when we were pushed back however (except iirc for one incident after the flag had just bee capped back by the US), it's just that the FOB had not once been found after it's creation.
