ok so in past versions of PRSP there has been the option to join a Local game. On this new version (0.9) that options is not there, and there are only the options of "join internet" and "start local". I noticed this when me and a mate wanted to start a LAN game and play using Hamachi. I was just wondering if it is meant to be like this? and if so why has it been taken out?

and yes i tried joining by IP in all menus that allow it.

I think Join Internet - Join IP works, at least it did when I tried joining my own dedi server and I had people play with me over Hamachi, so there is a way lol

Yer you are talking about dedicated servers, i mean creating a "Local" game and joining via Hamichi... But there is no "Join Local" option... and i have tried join by IP in "Join Internet"

I had the same issue, but I also FOUND A SOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!! (though I'm not using Hamachi)

create a desktop shortcut for PRSP, and change the name so you can recognize it later. right click, open up the properties and in the "Target" field, paste this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +restart 1 +joinServer 111.222.333.444 +port 16544

you'll need to change the IP address to that of the host; they should see it when their server is loading. Also you'll need to include the port number for your host. This is the only direct connect method I've found and it took me days to find it. It works like a charm, however, and my friend and I have been able to play without problem.

Note: everyone connecting to the host server will need to use this shortcut method. Host does not need to do anything but start the server and give out the IP / Port. Let me know if you have issues.
