Any way the VC can set booby traps like poisoned bamboo sticks?

You mean Punji traps? You cant "dig" into the ground in BF2, so if the devs were to add them they would probably have to do whats done in BFv, the bamboo just stiking outta the ground.

WHat about make them small? so you kind off just see a litte bit?

maybe they could be small bamboo sticks which poison a player if touched, that could be placed like mines in bushes etc. etc.

I hope punji traps are added. If not as part of a kit then maybe as a deployable asset set by a squad leader (maybe even something as big as the log trap from BFV)

Not log trap! But maybe it could be some traps in the caves that only NVA can see with small markers over it so they see it,and can go around or another way in the cave.

Punji sticks could be easily done as nadetraps in the sapper kit..

One of the more popular VC grenade traps was to modify the nade / can with a spike. You could place this thing spike-side-up under shallow water...As the spike penetrated someone's foot and they jerked their leg out of the puddle, the nade would detonate. Good stuff, I'm sure these could be done almost exactly like the current grenade trap.
