As we all should know, aside from healing and reviving...the civie is an excellent distraction/ambush tool for insurgents.

So please post your best stories regarding civie tactics. I'll start:

On Al Barash (spelling check) I suggested to one of my SL that he use me to ambush a IFV that kept going around our cache.

He agreed and we decided to use 2 pipeIEDs and a proxy IED to fully ensure that the IFV bit the dust.

Once the IFV went around the corner we ran into the mainroad in front of the mosque and placed the IEDs around my feet and I then stood there with my hands up while the others ran for cover.

About a minute later the IFV rounded the corner and stopped dead when it saw me. The gunner fired a few MG rounds around me to scare me away....but I just stayed still. As soon as the IFV started moving towards me I went prone over the IEDs.

The last thing I remember was the sound of the IFV right next to me....followed closely by the resounding roar of the IEDs

Needless to say I was killed...but the other team was also down one IFV

Well, I wasn't exactly as the civilian. But, we had 3 squads working together to go get to the cache. And we saw 2 civilians standing next to each other. Obviously, being me, I don't trust civilians. And we saw some random person not seeing the trap, Falcon Punched both of them and then he got sniped.

It was on Fallujah once, I got rid of my empty RPG kit and ran over the fields in the NE section of the map, where Blufor was massing. I got one guy attracted to me (I was flirting damn well that day...) who started to chase me around the field for about five minutes. Everytime he came close I managed to evade his cuffs, it was a hilarious chase, remembering me of Bugs Bunny and the hunter guy. "What's up, Doc?"
Then I realised I wouldn't escape him any longer and dared to have a short look on the map. Two friendlies were right at the north entrance of the Red Cross compound, so I went there, came around the corner, the Yankee close on my heels, and ratatatata, I was free. I took his kit and found out it was a specialist kit, so he could have easily shot me...
Not to mention I killed several americans with his kit, and it was a moment to remember.

Fallujah, on the north eastern side of the map, my squad planted 2 arty IED's and 3 pipe-bombs. and we had 4 civilians, well out of the blue the cache appears to our west a little bit, and here come the Americans! we are chasing them around, end their chasing us, and here comes the Abrams! without even hesitating he heads toward the brige and as soon as he lines himself up and starts over, BOOOOOOOM!

One dead abrams and quite a few infantry to boot!

On Al Basrah, i was playing with one of my clannies.
This happend on the Small island SE of the map.
I was in the building just east of the Hospital building lookin at the island and i had my friend walk down street luring out british from they'r nearby firebase.
As they ran at him trying to arrest him i was picking them off with theyr own sniper kit.
I ended up gettin around 20 or so kills until the Firebase was finally destroyed .

Get someone to place a mine around a corner, stand on it as a civi so the most instinctive thing to do for anything coming around the corner is try and run the civi down

On Al-Basrah, a Land Rover tries to run me over and crashes into the water.
I didn't even have to try.
Also, Littlebird crashed while trying to gun me down on Karbala.
Not really distraction stories, but hey.

Playing on Karbala the other night as US. The other team was so distracted trying to distract us that we had literaly zero resistance at the caches. Won the match with over 200 tickets to spare. Must have been over 50 arrests in that match by our team. Civi distaction FTL.

An APC gunner keeps his turret on me, while the driver focus's on keeping the front facing me. I back up, and BOOM

My friend and I were running around the Blufor's FB for about 5 min blocking cars, and causing chaos. I guess that they were getting pretty ticked because they started to chase us with humves and even an APC. We ran down an alley with 5 guys on our tails, and realized that it was an dead end. The jeeps (2) and APC followed behind the squad to make sure we didn't escape. None of them saw the Gary stop and stand outside on the road, turn in, and detonate behind them. I actually survived the blast but bled out before a medic showed up.

Why didn't you just use your own medic bad...unless this story isn't true.

That may have been because he was a drop-kit-civie, not a regular one.

Well... this must be an embarassing story about insurgent civvies:

The map was fallujah, I created a civvie squad, and had about 5 civvies in my squad. So me and my civvie squad walks around looking for trouble. Then we spot 2 unnarmed americans. We thought it would be fun to hang out with some american "civvies", and perhaps leading them to another insurgent with a gun and just kill'em all! But some some guy came at us, running with his restrainers, so we had to escape.
Later, we again met these 2 unnarmed americans. they were standing out on the street. There were buildings on both sides of the road.
Me and my whole civvie squad run at em, then out of nowhere, 10 americans with restrainers get my whole squad, me beeing the last alive got to witness this hilarious moment. So... We got owned xD seriously... The best PR moment in my life
