I was hoping to get some tips for what to do with your sqd when the BLUFOR havn't got any intel and no known hostiles coming towards that direction of the caches.

I know enough to lead them away to a place hidden from the enemy but not too far that they can't get a quick response in to the cache fast. But apart from building caches or attacking easy FOBs i don't know what to do with my sqd.

Like 2 days ago, i was leading some good fellas on Op Archer. 1 cache was in the airport and the other in the western part of the village, to make matters worse the BLUFOR had made an highly defended FOB up in the castle (with wire at door and many HMG/LMG). So becasuse i didn't see any way of attack without all the sqd being cutdown i just got my RPG gunner to take some pot shots at them and return to the cache in a few different directions just so they wouldn't know where it was. FYI no arty was available.

So any good ideas?

Make an obstacle belt using presighted weapons, grenade traps, IEDs and mines on a likely avenue of approach.

This is how you win as INS.

As well as blocking ^, try to 'fake' caches. If you can get an RPG from main and fire it off a lot to try and entice the enemy into moving men to fake caches.

Also spend the quiet time to build hideout networks around the next caches.

6 man INS squad can do alot of damage.. Grab 2 techies, 1 coloborator. 2 RPG's and you as SL. Then find a good spot outside their main and camp for their helos If LAV comes along - RPG's away!

Hell, me and my squad found a way how to base rape US on Ramiel. Killed around 5 vehicles inside their main, including a BH. LB was out of our visual range

Anyhow, what ^that guy said, you can setup "fake" caches. Or setup some serious ambush points.

On Op.Archer, ambush all ground-transport at both exits of the Canadian Main base, or with techies against chinooks.

On Karbala Ambush the old us-main base, the passage north and south of it, and the road near the "Hotel" river.'

On Fallujah West start making the circle around their main thighter.

At Al-Basrah, capture the VCP and start making their armor diffucult to aproach the city.

Lashkar Valley, ambush the small valley roads.

Ramiel, ambush entrences of the city, or make an AA squad and hunt for their BH and LB. Otherwise make a techy convoy.

Thanks for the responses. I like the ideas about the ambushs around their main, fake caches are good for a while till you all die and they get intel.

yeah i think i'll go with the ambushs, hide and strike .

But what should i have done about that castle FOB that was killing everybody around that hill and anyone in village?

By the way, attack the castle FOB first with small arms fire, make 2 squads ready to attack,fire lots of RPGs at them and then, call in mortars-------> Move in after the mortar strike. That will bring you the biggest chance to win.
