I bet what happened was he pressed escape right when he was pulling up to land and tilted the mouse at the last second so the chopper tilted and then he disconnected.

My last game before coming to this Summer School was on Muttrah. I was transporting several troops and supplies. I was the last living chopper. One guy hops in my chopper and my SL asks for supplies. "On my way!"

As I approach the docks (still over the water, just pass the waterbreaker) at around 300kph and some 15 meters high, my game CTD's.

I LOL'ed IRL. RIP for the USMC

Mumble --> Configure --> Settings --> Under the Audio Output tab, there's a section labeled "Compression"; inside that section are two options: "Quality" and "Audio per packet". Adjust these two settings until the crackling goes away. The crackling noise is usually because either the "Quality" setting is set too high or the "Audio per packet" setting is set too high, or a combination of both.

Ahh, that video is like a memory...... . So many times you see pilots make these little mistakes, resulting in yet another crashed chopper .

Every helicopter ride is like a box of chocolates................

The saddest part is that he had ample time to recover that... if he'd just have dropped the throttle as low as possible (held S) and counter rolled, it would've fixed itself... RIP huey #492881772

Just a small correction, the options wich I should change were under the Audio Input tab.


You were right, the Quality was at it's max and I lowered a bit. Thanks for the help. I'll see today if it is fixed.

Well it WOULD explain why he didn't appear to make an attempt to recover (which he definitely could have)! I'd believe it.

Hopefully he just crashed and didn't noob fail. I <3 heli rides.
