I was just thinking that maybe the trailer for PR:V was relased a bit to early and there has been no higlightreels of whats to come so it kinda loses hype a bit and also the way it said on the trailer 'Coming soon' and the trailer is 7 months old :?

What do you guys think?

I couldve sworn the devs said they are making a new trailer for PR:V.

Hangman is right, it was just a teaser trailer, to show that it's actually real, and not an April Fools joke. ;)

Exactly what he said.

Apparently, it was done quickly (someone said it didn't have the quality of the average PR trailer/teaser/teaser-trailer) so they could all just trick us into thinking that PR:V was indeed an April Fool's Joke, which has now been proved otherwise, making the first statement plausible.

Winrar, yaay :p . It was done in a couple of hours, including capturing, lol :p .

PR v0.95 got top priority as you can understand, but PR:V is still in development. When it's done, I can't say. Probably when it's done ;) .

Post count doesn't mean anything!

Now STFU because I spam/troll more than you, hence my word is more valuable than yours. About 5x more valuable to be exact.

 8-)

lol was referring to how people who hadn't 25 posts sneaked up here and started discussing and suggesting things that were far ahead of when it would add anything.

post count might not really say anything, the time one has spent and the amount of threads one has read on the forums does, which you can loosely base on the amount of posts one has if you take an average of 1 post a day.(we, my friend, would in that case have been around here for far too long ;) )with the exception of course of the guys who have been lurking the forums for a long time before creating an account, but those you pick out quite easily.

didn't intend to offend anyone with this or the above post

From EOD website...not sayin it impacts PR:V but what do you think?

Trahn's computer with the 95% finished new version of EoD-2 had a hard disc crash. All data have been destroyed and there's no up to date backup of the build. So all the work is lost and Trahn is a little bit frustrated about that and he has abandoned the work on EoD-2. Actually there's no one working on EoD 2 anymore and the project is stopped.
This is really bad news for all EoD-2 enthusiasts...

A sad day for EOD that's for sure. PR:V still continues despite that though.

I don't think it was to soon, getting the word out about it to let every one know and have them tell all their friends is a good way to start a following and interest in the mod. To keep interest some follow up would be nice though. Maybe a picture of a tank or building or piece of grass or something to show that it hasn't died off to much ells the following and interest group you hooked with the teaser will loose interest and will be much harder to get them to gain interest a second time. Good ole marketing classing coming into use right there I tell you whhhat.

This. I hardly ever post on here because I've seen too many threads devolve into flame/troll wars, and it just gets boring after a while seeing serious, awesome, discussions turn to ****.

IRC activity, and how long people have been playing the mod should also count for something. 8)

As far as the teaser release... it was a prank to get everyone to think it was an april fools joke. It would be nice to see some dev highlights though, to reassure everyone that it's still being worked on and hasn't died. The whole 'it will be out when it's out' is... well it is what it is, but with PRO (PR Original) there are constant dev updates so the community knows what's going on. The ARMA2 devs are kind of doing this, and that's great. It's a little disheartening to see hardly any updates for PRV.

Next april you're going to say it was a massive april fools joke anyway.. with it's own forum section and all.
