Earlier today on TG's server, in Muttrah City, someone on the US side executed what one MEC player claimed was the "Best helicopter drop off ever"

My MEC Squad's truck had just pulled up along the outer walled perimeter just west of North City. We dismount, and within seconds, a Huey pulls in and lands right along side of us, no more than 10 or 15 meters away. We're all stunned in disbelief at first. A single US Soldier hops out, and is promptly mowed down by myself and 5 other MEC players. We try unloading on the helicopter, but the pilot pulls up and away, somehow unharmed.

The TG mumble server is sectioned off for each team, so I couldn't hear, but I keep trying to imagine what the US pilot and dropped off player might have been saying throughout the whole thing. Also I wish someone had taken a picture or a video of it.

The pilot must have been:

HOLY SH3!"!11!

pics or it didn't happen

I decided to try it, sure enough I pull in there and you guys are there, he gets wtfbbq raped by you guys, and I fly away. One of your guys did hit me, however, because I started bleeding >:[

Since I didn't take pictures or video, I comicked (sp) the events instead.

Well, a huey landed right freaking next to me (I was in a building with an american AT4 on Muttrah). I LOL inside my head, take aim and SWIFT! Fire the rocket.

Guess what happened next.

Rocket bugged and huey survived?

Last night I shot down a huey and a low flying Cobra with a TOW missle lol. It was pretty Epc as well.

Instead of destroying the chopper, PR's weird deviation kicks in and makes the rocket explode on your feet, far away from where your tube was pointed at resulting in an epic failure of what was supposed to be an epic moment?

I waited for the 5+ seconds, fired and the sound came from the launcher. I was cheering inside my head, waiting for that tasty taste of accomplishing your objective.

Great thing, didn't blow up at all... Apparently rockets (even if they have minimal arming distance) do not damage the rotors even if they pass through it while they are spinning

Should have aimed at the pilot

I was insurgent and a heli dropped off a German AR guy. He ran off and I ran up behind him with teh shotty ... "Medic!!!"

I believe that is because afaik helicopter rotors don't have collision mesh
