Hello PR community i was just sitting back remembering my epic sniper missions and i want to share some of them with you and you can share your own as well. Post " your Tale" and Your Fail"
My Tale: Map was operation archer, Round starts out and i grab a sniper kit and a grenaider joins my squad to spot for me. We grab a jeep and head directly up the mountain outside main towards the castle. We arrive at the crest of the hill and can see castle clearly. I scope in and Bam! i drop a taliban ontop of castle, i see a couple more but am unable to nail them. So i tell my spotter/grenaider to pop a smoke at the broken wall at castle where everyone runs up to make them think there being atacked at close range. His smoke grenade lands at the broken wall and like magic 3 more taliban come walking through the smoke and i proceed to drop all 3 of them. When the smoke clears we observe castle for a good 5 minutes and it looks all clear. So we move up closer to castle and my spotter goes in and clears it out without any contact, then we proceed to the rope bridge below the caslte to set up our sniper nest/hide. Well it turns out both caches were in village C 6 area, so we knew right from the start we were in buisness, to make a long story short i end up dropping 67 taliban and my spotter covered the walkway up to the rope bridge and had 9 kills. The team i was on was sort of newbish and we lost many chinooks and our team couldnt get the ball rolling so we lost the round.
My fail : Map was fallujah west, round starts out i get a sniper kit and my spotter grabs a hummer, we head for the north entrance, my spotters says "hold on im going to grab a soda be afk 1 min" so were sitting near the north road that leads out of US main for a good 2 minutes when all of a sudden a bomb car comes rolling through the field and i must of had 2 seconds to react to him, but it was 2 seconds to long and BOOM! we lose kit and hummer. we got flamed a little bit but sh!t happens in war and we shrugged it off and made another squad.

I'll give you a litte "heads up" stealh... a good sniper story is when you help your team with information of a possition, do recon, provide fire support only by killing high ranking/important enemyes such as a sq leader, medic etc(remeber you are not an universal AR).... not when you have 100 kills and be l33t n1nj4 sn1perz0re on the enemy. People are allready pissed about players taking the sniper kit to do only long range kills and be like special forces which goes against what snipers actually are in real life.
About the fail, as others have said you should of told your friend to switch seats and you should of driven to a safer possition than staying in the open... at least.

I was playing Op Archer as Taliban in .9, and our squad had been suppressing a sniper for some time. Me and a squad mate flanked him, threw grenades and killed that pesky motherf***er. After we killed him, I decided to take his kit, and see what I could do. My other squadmate was a spotter for me, and we were in the hills about 750m away from the castle. Looking at the castle, we could see tons of Canadians moving around, going up top, and building an FOB. He spotted 4 or 5 guys at the top of the castle and gave e the range. First shot hit one of them in the head, and the rest of them ran down. One of them got on the TOW, which my SM called out to me, and he was downed within a minute. The 3rd guy we saw tried to run for the HMG nest, but I managed a hit on him centermass as he was moving and he fell off of the side of the mountain.The last 2 guys got smart and took cover, one of them was an AR. He suppressed us back, so we left that spot and relocated about 50m to the west. He was still shooting at the other spot, so we popped him easy. About that time, we'd already told our SL what was happening, and he and the rest of the squad were working their way up towards the FOB. About 9 minutes later, we see a large explosion and flying bodies everywhere. One of our SMs put an arty IED right on top of the fob and killed maybe 6 people + our squad. The round ended shortly after.

You know i also was playing as a sniper once and i got 86 kill and 0 deaths, true story

Back in PR .817, I accidently requested a sniper kit on Muttrah as MEC, and I just decided to hell with it. I decided to set up shop in a building. I saw a Transport littlebird hovering to land on a building. I thought I'd take a potshot at it. And Boom headshot on the pilot. The littlebird fell to the floor and blew up. After bragging about that for a few seconds I look up in the left corner saying. "Phantom251, You are being kicked for high ping" After that I raged for about half an hour.
