[AAR] Not so great start to my PR Career...

Post by Finners »

So after days of troubleshooting and a couple of hours game time i joined Some Texas server TAR or TAC or something, i had a good game with DeadRising(sorry forgot the numbers) Leading the squad, I waas the specialist (sonofdonkey) And it was going great!! Thanks to some great leadership and great squad mates!! it was a good game

After that match the server crashed and when it came back up we went on a german vs taliban match :S dont remember the map.. First off i kept getting switched sides... ok i can deal with that BUT when i respawned on the taliban side, i went to get in a vehicle, but the guy in the drivers seat (In my squad) started driving towards me and trying to hit me but i kept moving out the way then he clipped me and i went black and white so i fired a few shots off, then I got kicked and permanantly banned from the server... for trying to stop myself being killed... i dont even know who it was that did it but i was rather annoyed...

Am i in the wrong here??

There are some people on PR who enjoy ruining the fun of other players. It's unfortunate, but if a server fails to deal with it properlly, try a different server. Also, try not to awknowlage "trolls".

Hopefully your experience gets better. I personally have my own on and off days. PR isnt always my favorite, but after 4 years i keep coming back for more

Welcome to PR

We feel you. Don't worry.
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Welcome to PR, sorry to hear that your first experience was a bad one.

If you can PM me a name I can check with the admins for logs, my clan: the 508th, has admin rights on that server.

Also, if you are up for some teamwork orientated games on the TAR or other servers maybe you can check us out:

General advice: Never defend yourself against a griefer/teamkiller. Ignore them completely, only tell admins if they are present to take action. If you do anything other than ignoring them, stuff like this happens, because the admin only sees the teamkill message at the top and two people telling two different stories.

If you don't defend yourself, you'll end up being the one teamkilled; which is bad, but at least the admin will then have clear information about whom to kick.
