[Question] Shotgun vs Civi's?

I heard somewhere that if you go as a Specialist in a Squad you can use a Shotgun to arrest Civi's instead of using the restrainer?

Is this true, or will I just cause the team more grief if I shoot a civi with a shotgun?

Yes you can shoot Civilians with Breaching Slugs and it will count as arresting them, however I'm not sure if using enemy breaching slugs will work i assume it would,

It's good to know that I won't get screamed at for shooting Civi's with a shotgun, I suck bad with knives or other "melee" type weapons

You can use enemy slugs, as if you have the Insurgent Shotgun kit and use the breaching slug then you can shoot the US who die immediately as it counts as them being knifed
