My 2 cents in the conventional/unconventional debate:
We used 6x6 in Jegerbataljonen (Ranger btn.) back in 2001, and other regular (non-special forces) use them aswell.

the bf2 Australian forces mod will not and never will share and models and or textures with any other mod... So you must make your own...

Careful making a 6 x 6 ATV though because making anything similar to assets featured in the Australian Forces mod is STEALING! Don't forget they 'own' the rights to every Australian vehicle as well :-P

Do it! They are on the other side of the earth, they will never notice :)

On a side note, that is one sweet vehicle.

Stealing is getting the model and the textures without permission and use it. Making anything similar is just nothing. And by the way, zeno, we don't have the models or textures, do you read the words before the image?

"Something like this:" - I mean that the vehicle should be similar to the one in the picture, not that we have it.

So, you found it or do you have to make it a-new? 8)
Pretty sure Aussie forces want this also, given it has a similar use there.

For those of you who don't under stand my friend Ryza here. Let me explain a little bit of the history to you. A while ago some of the members of Australian PR faction/minimod/addition/what ever you want to call it approached the Australian Forces Developers and asked if they were willing to share their content. They said NO which is fine and for the most part everyone left them well enough along. Some other people often not affiliated with the Australian PR faction had similar ideas and asked the Australian Forces Developers if they would share they continued to say NO and generally became unruly. Which also is fine because no one wants to have to repeat themselves especially when its the same question only posed differently and progressively more insensitive.

So due to some bad emails, posts and messages the two groups who had similar goals and intent became rivals. The Australian Forces Developers having said that they will not share there content tried to ensure that it was not being stolen and inadvertently called some of the Australian PR faction for trying to steal some assets. Wether or not this is true is irrelevant in the end because regardless of who you want to believe the about the matter it was mishandled and allot of strong words were bandy about and essentially what could have being a harmonious and beneficial relationship was destroyed before it could even begin. So there is some bad blood and the Australian PR faction has tried its best to move on from those ill fated days and distance itself from anything that could be misconstrued as having coming from or being based off anything that another developer has created before.

So there you have it ChiefRyza was merely making a witty joke for people who understood just how silly it all was at the time especially when you look back at it.

BTW I see no reason this vehicle could not find a place in PR as always even if you add a vehicle its purely at the digression of the Mod team and especially the Mappers and Developers who decide upon the appropriate vehicle layers as to where and how they are intended to be used. A vehicle of this type would be extremely handy on a map like Archer or Mestia where a larger arguably with greater personal protection is often a larger target and easier to intercept. While a vehicle of this size is quieter and makes easier to scout enemy positions or to move key personal into position to help assault enemy strong points.

That said there is also always going to be the problem with people misusing vehicles and not using transports in a timely team orientated fashion. Good luck with the project guys hope your get a YAY or NAY soon. ;)

i'd say make it a 3 man transport with an ammo box, and put it on some smaller maps.

I totally agree with you, its a awesome little vehicle that can be used on 1 km maps and larger maps.

But to get this in-game do we need some one that can make it :)

the point is, that this model is made by a totaly different BF2 mod and NOT by the PR Australianforces Community, so yes, it needs to be redone
