Debatable. In 0.87 the only factions the Russians play are Chechen and whats to say that they are not BLUFOR? Currently in the PRT NATO are playing as Chechen whilst CATA get Russians because of this fact.
Either way, it hardly matters.

But yeah, what's up with the drop kit? I thought that, in bf2, if you had no kit you would get those weird arms pointing everywhere...cool though, probably usefull too.
I'm curious to know if the Squad Leader can delegate this to a Squad Member as a, sort of, RTO role?
Or can the markers only be set by a SL position or kit?
This is great, it looks so professional now! And melee?! So no more knife?
Another question, will Russia be attack from a carrier or some land on the next side? It looked like it on the map in the YT video

Chechens are actually insurgents IRL, they're fighting for Islamic independence in RF subject of Chechnya, they have many foreign fighters from Afghanistan, Saudi arabia and etc, basically same ideology as Taliban. So they cant even be considered as Blufor. That just makes no sense. I'm russian, I know.
SOOO COOOL lol that makes soo much sense lolol its always such an anoying thing trying to relay information throught the commander and nothing usuialy gets done .. lol this way markers can be placed Directly from the Squad leader lol good woorkkk ...
i couldnt help but nodess .... next to Request kit .. / DROP KIT ?!?! ... we can actualy Drop our kits now?? thats GREAT

I bet that it won't really make you drop your kit but that it will spawn a kit without any weapons in front of you. You may then decide to switch kits or not.

I do have one question, does this mean that there can be more than say 2-3 markers on the map at a time and everyone from other squads can see it.
Say squad 1 spots a tank, squad 2 can see it as well?
Yes, that's the whole point
The DROP KIT is indeed just an empty kit with nothing but the surrender and salute "weapons" making it easy to switch kits but also do some role playing

Im not doing that whole debate again, there was a huge discussion on it in the PRT forums. Basically I was simply highlighting the fact that it does not matter which faction is team 1 and team 2.

Your Russian, That's why we won't debate that here, You will always favour your country see . (I would)
That's why we discussed it in PRT with mostly 3rd Parties, And It does not effect any of the interests in PR..
You guys should stop with the blufor and opfor talk right now.
In PR v0.9 you will see somewhat "unrealistic" confrontations taking place relative to the current period in history, and it's based on the idea of seeing how it would be if these 2 factions fought each other. PR doesn't have a storyline to follow, so we have the freedom to do this kind of things.
Any more complaints about this will be removed.

Its not that, I said it to show that I know about it. Its common knowledge about chechen separatists. They operate in same way as taliban, even the caucauses environment is similar to afghani. I mean, read about it anywhere. Not trying any propaganda now, lol.
But back to the topic, anyone know who will be the attacking force in Beirut? Israel or Russia?
