How to get Crewman kit?

Hi, I go on single player at the moment as my PC can't cope with online and how do i get the crewman kit on single player?

I don't know how

[USMC scout sniper]

join a squad,hold down T,request kit,crewman.But you have to do this next to a friendly APC or supply crate.
