So I was playing Muttrah today (American) and as we ventured around the gas station, I scanned my ACOG to the south and noticed 2 MEC shooters up on a ridge.

I knew I couldnt hit them with my M16A4 and I knew I REALLY wanted them dead, so I humped all the way to their flank.

I marked my position on this map section in a blue X and I have illustrated my exact route to flank them.

When I got around them, I heard a vehicle. I took cover behind a dune as they passed over a slight ridge in the MEC jeep. At this point, I had the high ground and their vehicle was moving very slowly attempting to go over a more steep ridge.

I sprang into action and emptied several rounds at the driver. He tried to flee in the vehicle knowing defense would be impossible, but he found himself in a semi-immobile position due to dunes on all sides.

Both troops exited the vehicle and proned behind it, however from my angle I could see under it with ease.

Both were killed without firing a shot.

Good for you on taking them out. That used to be a somewhat good spot where they were sniping, however now it sucks for 2 reasons.

1. Almost everybody knows about it

2. For some reason sniping is much harder in .9. I don't know why but 500-600m kill shots are close to impossible in this version, when I could make them all the time before 0.9 came out.

And thats the main problem with that spot, is that most of your targets are a good 400+ meters out, so you must expose yourself to take shots because of the way the engine renders people on mountains at a distance.

Now what would have been better is if you had a buddy with you so you could deny the team from getting those rifles back.
