Re: Panther CLV - desert version
british woodland maps will definately benefit gameplay wise from this[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Well we might chuck it on Basrah until anouther map comes along for it as there wont be any other "desert" maps for it for some time yet but there are plenty of woodland maps for it to go on and its basically the same vehicle, with if anything the woodland version being better since it has smoke launchers
and guys in terms of PR A2 etc, pretty much every new model being made will be featured in both engines.
the panther is a good middle ground between WMIK and warrior
can't wait to get a group of panthers together with a scimitar....oooohhhh gonna be sweet

Looking awesome! Very good work

Looks like the British are getting more nerfed every release.

So according to Rhino, we won't be seeing Sangin in this release either...great. Unless that was misinformation (which I doubt).[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Well we might chuck it on Basrah until anouther map comes along for it as there wont be any other "desert" maps for it for some time yet but there are plenty of woodland maps for it to go on and its basically the same vehicle, with if anything the woodland version being better since it has smoke launchers

i guess, if Sangin would be anywhere near to completion, we would have seen some recent screenshots

Sangin will never be completed. It's been in development since like what? .8? .75? Which is a shame because it had so much potential.

It's still in development, but you have to have time in order to work on it...
I recently saw some screenies - they looked hawt!

LOL Excavus, your a total fool if you really believe that.Excavus wrote:Sangin will never be completed. It's been in development since like what? .8? .75?
Some of us have real life jobs you know, we do this in what ever spare time we have and I know the Mapper, Dr Rank is very, very busy with r/l but is still plugging away slowly at this map and tbh is a huge project, one that takes a huge amount of time to make and unless you start paying us a decent wage to do this job, for you guys, we are not going to be able to quit are full time jobs and work on PR full time to meet your expectations of how long it should take to crate a map with an area of 61kms.
If course Excavus if you believe you can do a better job, the tutorials are in the community modding forums waiting for you....
It still really surprises me how much sh*t some of you guys give us for making stuff for you guys, in our own time...

In his defence I don't think he meant it in an insulting way, just taking into account how long its been in development one could draw the path that it would never be completed.[R-DEV]Rhino wrote: It still really surprises me how much sh*t some of you guys give us for making stuff for you guys, in our own time...

Rhino snapped!
After lots of polite replies to un-thankful dudes, this had to happen.

Rhino has a very good point tho, we should be grateful for what they have given us so far, but for some guys it's never good enough...

Hardly, these kind of comments that Excavus has made here can make the difference between the map being finished or not, the last thing the mapper wants to see is this kind of **** on the forums and I hope he dosen't see it.Nebsif wrote:Rhino snapped!

The bench on top looks abit weird, but the whole thing looks great. I'm also seeing its kinda like the US CROWS hummer. So I'm guessing there will be one at most per map?
