Is Venezuela still going to be included? If so, they should be using the AK-103, not AK-74M (unless some parts of the Brazilian Army use it). I believe they also use the FN FAL Para a lot.

Nope, hopefully, they will be a new Community Faction after or during the developemnt of the Brazilian Forces.

I've had no time to do any modding anymore. Sorry :/

Venezuela as far as my reasearch used the 74M. The FAL Para was being given to the National Guard and City Police.

My source was someone who was in the "Police" in Venezuela. He was on the forums.

As far as i know, the Standart Equipment of the Regular Army is the Ak-103. But there is always one more thing to check. 8-)

Hey, FPaiva, I'm brazilian and I'm very excited about the proposal of the brazilian faction!
I'm very interested in our country military and have some questions (or sugestions) about the brazilian faction!

I saw your design plan and hav some questions/sugestions about equipment that are not present there (a lot "will you make" now):
1. Will you make the Cascavel fighting vehicle?
2. Will you make the Gaucho airdropped jeep?
3. Will you make the Guarani APC?
4. Will you make the Engesa never produced Osorio MBT?
5. Will you make the Embraer Super Tucano airplane?
6. Will you make the Imbel MD97 assault rifle?
7. Will you make the very very new Imbel AI2 assault rifle?
8. Will you make the ALAC anti-vehicle bazooka?
9. Will you make the MSS 1.2 AC anti-vehicle missile system?
10. Will you make the CTEx mortars?

I know, a lot of questions, but they are all 100% brazilian equipement, although not all were functioning (like the Osorio MBT :( )

First of all, excercise read the Sticky Threads or use the Search button before you ask something.

1-There are no plans for making it for the 1st release of the mod. I know it's a light recon vehicle with fire-support abilities, but we will not make it for the 1st release.

2-No, because the project is still a project, nothing was made in industrial scale.

3-Again, like the Gaucho, it is still a project, there are much things to change/add before something can be made in industrial scale. Tough, as the contract for 3k units where already signed, puting it on the mod is in analysis, but, as said before, the real project needs to be done before we can think about start working on it.

4-As you said, and as i'm saying for the 3rd time, anything who was never produced in industrial scale isn't going to be added on the Faction.

5-No, for the 1st release of the mod, as it was said many times before: "the focus of the current biuld is infantry-based combat, with transport vehicles ONLY"

6-Yes, as it's being widely used in the Amazon region by Brazilian Troops.

7-No, because again, it is still a project. Nothing was signed to buy anything.

8-The ALAC is nothing more than a Brazilian-modified AT4 Rocket Launcher. The ALAC isn't going to be on the mod, but the AT4 will.

9-For a deployable TOW system, yes, but not in the current biuld.

10-Actually, all mortars in PR have a standart model. When each faction begins to have it own mortars, we will have our own.

Hi, I'm new in the forum !!!!!!

I couldn't resist the idea to give a sugestion to this awesome Faction!!!

In fact, I'm a Brazilian too, so I guess it's my duty to share something...

Well, in the near future, perhaps (!!!!!!!!!!!), could you add to the faction this project:

2010 Rio de Janeiro Security Crisis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've researched about this subject here in the forum, but don't found it...

It's a huge task, I know, but a very interesting subject indeed I guess.

Thanks, anyway, for atention!

Hope that everything is alright with the Jungle project!

And, regarding ARMA 2 project...

It'll be developed the faction to this another awesome plataform??

Of course it's a long commitment I guess, but you guys can do it! I know that you can! And another point that I want to make it clear, is a possibility to join forces with Brazilian Armed Assault Community! The AA Brazilian is so strong, and could be possible to borrow some great talent developers!

Wish the best for the team and the role PR community!

The PR: A2 Project isn't going to accept Community-Made factions until it's completion. And even after the main Project starts to accepts it, it will need a brand new proposal to make the Brazilian Forces for A2. Also, the Brazilian COMFAC isn't even near completion for PR, wich makes every people envolved with not to think in another Project so soon.

And by the way, i guess this was never posted here, but when we was discussing making the official proposal, the security crisis in Rio de Janeiro was already in debate and the team decided to not make the scenario. Because none of the Armed Forces troops where in actual combat with gang members, they where there only as a support if the main Police forces needed help and the job of hunting drug militias is a job for the Police, not the Armed Forces.
