You do know it's press-and-hold until sight is dropped? Should be alt-fire.

If that doesn't work either, something's wrong, but that would be odd.

i tried too when the 0.98 released and it didn't show up by holding any key, neither RMB

I checked the files, and it should appear after pressing flare key(x) for about 2 seconds.
