Does your screen resolution match game resolution?

My documents BF2 profiles video con

Change resolution and save with same as monitor

Default profile will allow you to open the game.

Rename your "video.con" file to "video_org.con" or something (anything will do), then start PR, see if it works? (need to re-set the video settings though, but it can at least work)
