The missile battery will be a deployable or part of a fixed defense? if it is a deployable , control and release structures will be independent ? something like the firebases that can only be built close to the supply , launcher can be built within a certain range of engagement center?

Sorry for so many questions and the English, but curiosity is strong. Obrigado Rhino!

It is mainly going to be a stationary base defence weapon but the option of making a deployable version is something we are talking about, but it depends on a few factors, mainly on how powerful this weapon is since we don't really want something that is going to be able to 100% deny enemy aircraft from a massive area which this has the potential of doing in the right hands but we will just have to see what its like after some more testing.

The Launcher and the Director have to be part of the same object as (at least without a massive amount of 3rd party code), it simply wont work with the BF2 code and the two would be pretty close to each other in r/l since they have to be connected by a cable which in all the refs I've seen is no longer than 20m tops, but the designator is normally only 10m away.

Hey there,

Are any more maps being updated with bot/co-op support for the next patch? Also, are crashes for some that currently don't work (Dovre Winter and Ghost Train) being worked on at all? I know bot's are a low priority, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance.

A new FN FAL series isn't going to happen any time soon, and most likley not at all at this stage. FM FAP was being worked on by Dosedmonkey here, but I haven't heard anything from him in some time: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f388-p ... -pr-f.html

The FM FAP will most likley be in the next full release however as its a pretty high priority item.

OGT has been fixed for the next version and I believe Dovre has too but not 100% sure on that.

Will the main PR get the similar FOB?s as in the WWII Alpha? Because of the protection etc.

Don't think so.

These bunkers were actually used by PR in the past; you could create firebases and bunkers. Both had the same purpose, only bunkers could only be built right next to a flag, and firebases only outside a certain radius.

Is anybody still alive on the Norwegian Faction?

I'm probably not the most accurate source of information, but I think I can help with that question:

There are still a couple of factions have people working on them behind the scenes, and yes, there are still people alive on the Norwegian faction.

I'm pretty sure you already understand this, but I'll clarify for those who don't:
Community factions are created and developed primarily by contributors. The communication between the core team and the comfacs can be sparse, so I wouldn't expect an accurate answer when you ask "is [x] faction still being worked on?". The truth is that nobody knows except for those who are working on it. When they're ready to make a reveal, they'll go out of their way to make it nice and obvious.

As for the Norwegian faction in particular, there is definitely some stuff in the works, but it still has a long way to go. Certain skills are still in high demand and the number of people possessing them are shrinking. In my opinion they're closer to completion than many other factions, but it isn't anything worth getting hyped up about just yet...
Community support goes a very long way. If enough people want something, chances are it won't go unnoticed.

My projection would be that the Syrian army and Polish forces will have been released by the time Norway is even close to being ready, but nothing is ever set in stone. There's always a chance that the whole team gets abducted by the mob and you never hear a word from them again. But hey, it can go both ways.

Can't hurt to be optimistic ;)

Usually I know which factions being worked on. The norwegians are still working but the progress is slow because we miss some more guys that map or model for comfacs.

As the map was made from the offset to be a French one, the IDF where just keeping the seat warm while the French faction was being made :)

I thought the original idea was to have the French face the IDF? That would have been awesome :D

Yes, I saw the same thing about IDF vs FF. For me it was the best choice, because it could be very balanced and a must, (Im not sure) its realistic!

I think that was a possibility, however there are good reasons for the MEC. 1) iirc we redid their kit geos about the same time, so we wanted to showcase that as much as possible, 2) having MEC on the map allows the insurgents to be on some of the layers, because they use the same language files.

If they haven't already, a server should consider a Fr vs IDF event, the weapons would be quite comparable

Alright I can see that. About the whole maps with different factions with the same language files thing though: Why can't you just copy a map to give it factions with different language files? The mod is massive anyway. I think having multiple factions on the same map would really help for the sake of variety.
