I hear regular detonators will get a body armor perk that will boost their health, and if you donate over $20 a month you get that and they turn off dead dead for you.

I agree, detonators need a HP boost. One click and they go boom.

this question may sound stupid and noobsh but i'll ask it anyway
when the timer goes to 1:30 or 2:00 depending on server setting
right after 1:29 i try to make a squad (trans,tank,etc..)
i get de-selected and even sometimes nothing happen when i get ready to take/own an asset befor the game starts...
any idea ?

in my experience that only happens when you do it exactly when the counter hits 1:30 or 2:00solidfire93 wrote:this question may sound stupid and noobsh but i'll ask it anyway

1:29 or 1:59 should be fine all the time. i suggest you check again if it was really 1:29 and not 1:30

Nah, it depends on how many people are making squads at that time. If someone's creating a squad at the same moment you do, it's likely one of the squads will be disbanded.gwa1hir wrote:in my experience that only happens when you do it exactly when the counter hits 1:30 or 2:00

If we're going to get stats we should also get medals and promotion in order to play with valuable assets B)

God heroes and generals did that bad, the progression was so freaking slow, if you just wanted to play a tank then you had to get the gold for it or play for months.

No, not a coded rank system.
Maybe if possible a ''badge'' system that everyone can see in some kind of alternative system like PRSpy.
It hapenned to me before, especially in aircraft squad (Trans,CAS) . That someone i never met before join my squad and claim he can fly. Just to crash in main or get shot down on first flight.
Flying experience is not only flying skills but battlefield awareness.
If I could Alt-Tab the game and look this new guy in my Squad and see if he got at least 4-5 hours of flight. let's say a medal to have shot down 10 jets. I would be more confident in playing with this guy.
U get the idea?
And if a CAS Squad Leader doesn't have ''that medal'' or ''this achievement'' And someone complain about it to the admin. The admin can easily spot the unexperienced player and adjust the logistic of the round so everything works with better coordination.
I dunno if i explained it well..
Basically, you can still do everything as a new unranked player. But to prove you have experience might get you better chance to use high valued asset/role/kits. (..... If there are admins on the server lol )

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
I don't get the point of this. If this is the case how is anyone supposed to ever get any experience? What makes a good squad leader is experience squad leading, no matter what the squad.
If I'm a CAS squad leader and I haven't shot down a single plane, yet I'm not flying and merely spotting, is that grounds for someone to complain?
All I get out of the idea of having medals and such is a way for experienced played to push inexperienced players aside so they can hog assets.
That's all I'm saying about this though, not trying to start a debate or anything so I'm just leaving my opinion.

I doubt there will be medals and rewards, this is what makes PR unique. You don't lose or win Ranks, MMR etc. You don't play worrying if you are going to rank up or lose your current rank. You just play for fun. No one cares how many rounds you have won or lost. In fact, it doesn't even matter whether you win or lose the round throughout the game.

I hear now that BF2 and PR are so far under the radar the PR team is going to start adding Kits that you have to pay for. $10 for crewman, $15 for pilot, $35 for sniper. Get your wallets ready!

I can't wait for the new vehicle skins. The challenger one looks awesome, sadly 0.99$ each...Rabbit wrote:I hear now that BF2 and PR are so far under the radar the PR team is going to start adding Kits that you have to pay for. $10 for crewman, $15 for pilot, $35 for sniper. Get your wallets ready!

Apparently I didn't. to Ratface
Well I don't care i'm almost not playing anymore.
Just to clarify still, You could get medal that only require 30 minutes of flight for chopper or jets or tanks or anything, even jeeps wich would say '' Basic training for **** '' .
Not necesarely Golden plated platinium master corporal army honorific medallion of airforce deployment and courage under firefight.
IS it better explained or do i need to vulgarise even more

Whilst there are polish forces coming, they probably won't have that thing, as it's still a concept and not in any service anywhere.
Also that whole "mastered this bullshit" would just be too much of a hassle "do you have the badge for driving a vehicle? No? bye" you seem to be really out of touch that this game is about with all of your suggestions about badges leaderboards and other bullshit (like tripping) that I've seen you post

Well there is this great new feature thing where you can talk to them and ask if theyve done it beforeW.Darwin wrote:No, not a coded rank system. While i agree its frustrating to have players who are new and dont know the game well, we will not get any progress out of it if we start forcing players to get some kind of award before we let them play. Example would be squad leading, you learn by trying it, same with tanks, ect ect. Players need to learn how our game dynamics work, as they are different. Also server admins have enough work as is

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
LiamNL, You don't get it that's all.
The tank was a joke.
CTRifle,
BF2 engine will probably not allow such a thing but the ''perfect'' idea I had in mind was somekind of training map/server where you would need to accomplish a basic parkour within a certain time to unlock certain medals.
Let's say. You achieve to take off with a chopper and lift in the air for more than 10 seconds. BAM! you got certified u can take off. Same with Jet.
You could drive a tank 1 mile and destroy all the targets within 1 minute. BAM, an other medal.
As I said, its just a displayed variable that helps players to know who they deal with. Not the '' MOTHER OF ALL QUALIFIER '' to let someone play with you.. (Damn Liam. You always come at me with stupid replies. )
Since I like to write, i'll put 2 simple examples.
1;
'' Hey Pvt. Johnson, have u ever fly an Osprey before? ''
''No.. But I played Arma and Flight simulator like 2 years.. ''
''Well, you know there are training servers that give you all the basic within 30-40 min. it could be useful! ''
''Really? I just downloaded the game and I started to play right away''
'' Ah! .. Well u might aswell read the manuel you know .. Well. U can fly but Keep in communication with me if u got any questions. Before u take off i'll just give you some advice with this big bird first ''
'' Sure man! I'll be careful . ''
This example is the best I could imagine of a player that joins ur squad. First, he explains his situation, he is honest, and there is cooperation.
now.
2;
''Hey pvt.Ryan, have u ever flied a Huey before? ''
'' Yeah yeah don't worry it's easy ''
'' Are u sure? I never seen you before.. ''
'' Well, I never seen you too Hahaha ''
*Crash on carrier, leave the server.
All these 2 examples have hapenned to me. And I have no real way to know if someone has ever flied before or not. I also don'T wanna be a **** and kick everyone because in the end a Trans chopper is 5 tickets and 5 min respawn. And to enjoy the game is the first priority in my opinion.
And as for the matter of Squadleading, I believe the best way to learn how to manoeuver a Squad is by sticking with good squad leaders for a while and understand how he process the management of everything. Ask questions if u intend to become SL.
SL are basically what makes a round interesting or boring.
placing good FOB's... Taking the good decision between defending, scouting, attacking..
My god I have seen so many Squad Leaders make useless FOB and camp in totally useless places..
