local chat difficultty

Post by anantdeathhawk »

While co-piloting a chopper or a jet, the pilot and copilot have to use squad voip instead of local Voip because somehow they are unable to hear each other clearly, may be because the voip volume on local gets too low whilst being in the aircraft.
using squad voip disrupts the squad management as the pilots use it for themselves and the rest of the squad has to hear that while reporting their own situation to others.

For vehicles, I lower the in-game sounds in the option menu to about 20-30% and raise the mumble volume and it works fine. Play with the audio sliders in both the in-game menus and the sound mixer in the task bar until you find a level you are comfortable with.

My in game effects volume stays at 7%, system volume, mic transmit volume at 100% and zero threshold.
I am fine with land vehicles, the problems come when sitting inside an aircraft, specifically a jet.

Its because mumble cannot keep up with your ingame position when travelling fast, as in a jet or chopper. Its kinda lagging behind. E.g. when you hover in a heli you can hear your copilot just fine, but when you travel around you barely do.
