Can't update

So my current version is 1.3.9.0 as I haven't played in a while and when I try to update I get the error 1221: Unable to obtain an update list. At this time a saw that I need the manual update thingy for the 1.4.1.0 version but I need the version 1.4.0.0 And I can't find a way to update from 1.3.9.0 to 1.4.10 and then with the manual update to 1.4.1.0. Help much appreciated.
