KEY FEATURES:
- Added a new faction.
- Added a weapon jamming system. There is a 0.01% chance of jamming for every fired shot.
Factions:
- Added Middle Eastern Entente (MEE) as a rival to Middle Eastern Coalition (MEC). There is never enough war in the Middle East.
- Polish grenades now use the Poland Ball model (until now only used in polish ACV and as a static object).
Weapons:
- Removed bayonet scream. It was cringe anyway.
- Added bayonet scream as a commo-rose option. Unfortunately someone in the team likes it way too much :3
- Updated UAV with the ability to drop grenades. Commander kills still won't be visible on the scoreboard though so don't get too excited about that one.
- Increased the damage of bolt action rifles by 125%.
- Increased the time to cycle the bolt of every bolt action rifle by 2 seconds.
- Removed deviation from all bolt action rifles.
Soldiers:
- Added a 20% chance for USMC soldiers to use spanish voice lines.
- Russian soldiers can now drink vodka to replenish their stamina. It can only be used once and only near a rally point.
- Polish soldiers now automatically scream "Bober Kurwa" whenever the KTO Rosomak or AMZ Dzik is nearby. For some reason the polish military has a long history of naming their vehicles after bober-like animals?
Vehicles:
- Added fastropes for some transport choppers.
- All types of HMMVW now require keys to drive. You can obtain the keys from supply crates. There is only one key per vehicle. It is a test before expanding our asset claiming system (currently used only for heavy assets squads) to all types of vehicles and squads.
COOP:
- Fixed an issue with players sometimes joining battles and destroying all the fun for the bots. Now AI can finally fight itself to the death alone, without human players influencing the outcome.
- Fixed French Forces AI automatically retreating from neutral flags.
Sounds:
- Updated explosions to make players go deaf (consider yourself warned).
- Replaced the "Low tickets" siren warning sound with MEEow (again) #CatsTeam. Just don't ask where the sound is from. Curiosity killed the cat.
Shaders:
- Updated shaders for Project Unreality 4 DLC owners to improve the visuals of the game. You will need a slightly more powerful PC to run Project Reality with the Project Unreality 4 DLC enabled (more details below).
Levels:
- General:
- Updated skyboxes on some maps. The moon is now fully blown up due to a battle between the Polish and Chinese Space Forces.
- Added Arctic Lion (4x4 km ***). It is never too late for seasonal maps.
- Removed Kashan Desert (4x4 km ***). We've always wanted to say it out loud.
- Removed Jabal Al Burj (2x2 km ***) again. We want to be sure it's gone.
- Added procedurally generated maps for owners of the 3 Days in Kafr Halab DLC (more details below).
- Operation Soul Rebel:
- Removed Britain from BLUEFOR and replaced with France. It is now a french colony.
- Merville:
- Fixed the piano being too quiet. Just don't tell anyone where it is.
The Now and The Future — Kickstarter and Additional Content
Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, the changelog does not include the WW2 Soviet faction. The financial struggle has left us no choice but to cancel the project until we secure the funds which allow us to release the cancelled faction.
Project Reality is a game built by its community. As a community-driven project, we trust that we, the community, will be able to support Project Reality financially in these difficult times.
Given our situation, despite honest attempts to avoid such steps for the last two decades, we have finally been forced to lock some of our new features behind paid DLCs and start a new kickstarter campaign to secure the future of Project Reality.
Below you can find a list of DLCs which will become available very soon:
- Project Unreality 4 DLC
Project Unreality 4 DLC unlocks an update to graphics. While we haven't had the chance to fully test this new expansion, we promise it will eventually be able to run on almost anything thanks to FSR 3. - ASSset DLC
ASSset DLC is only available for server admins and unlocks the possibility to set the next map with a gamemode other than Advanced Squad Secure, formerly known as AAS. - 3 Days in Kafr Halab DLC
3 Days in Kafr Halab unlocks procedurally generated maps. Replayability has reached a new level! On Kafr Halab, some layers now feature MEE instead of MEC. The DLC also includes an update to our Fallujah West map. - For buying Project Unreality 4 DLC and at least one other DLC, you can also unlock emotes (click here for preview).
