-Project Reality v0.71 Patch Update
With the release of Project Reality v0.7 now over two weeks old, we have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the community, but our work is far from over with v0.7. As expected with any major release, some issues have been identified that we are currently working to address in a patch, including the well known commander asset bug. Our current plan of attack is to release two separate patches on two separate dates. The first will be a server-side patch that will address some of the more critical bugs found in v0.7. Shortly after the server-side patch, we then plan on releasing a client-side patch. More information on what will be fixed and changed in the patch will come at a later date, but rest assured we are working hard behind closed doors to make the Project Reality experience the best it can be.
Your continued feedback is always appreciated and greatly received by the PR Development Team. If you encounter any bugs that have not already been reported, please post them in our Bug Section on the Project Reality forums.
-Royal Air Force Harrier GR9 W.I.P.
We have also begun pre-production on our next release, Project Reality v0.8. While still in the very early planning stages, we would like to present you with some eye-candy from what we plan on being one of the center pieces in v0.8, the Royal Air Force Harrier GR9. We decided to completely scrap our original GR7 model and replace it with the jaw-dropping new GR9 model and texture from our very own [R-DEV]Stigger. To complete the new Harrier, Stigger also modeled its entire payload, including the Lockheed Martin Paveway II LGB (Laser Guided Bomb), AGM-65 Maverick missile, and the Brimstone Anti-Armour missile. These new ordinance models will not be limited to just the Harrier GR9, but will also be outfitted on various other aircraft.
If you wish to add some Project Reality goodness to your PC desktop, be sure to download the new PR Harrier GR9 Wallpaper Pack below. Included in the .zip are three color variations of the wallpaper, each available in the following sizes: 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1200x1600.

Can't wait til the server side patch. That commander issue really needs to be resolved. This is why I am glad that 0.7 was released sooner rather then just wait for it after New YEars because something like this was bound to pop up. Hopefully, the G3 issues will be resolved too or at least balanced.

Yeah Great job on the part of the devs! Also any chance we will see the Russian, and Chinese equals to these modeled and placed on their aircraft as well? It would help out a lot in the realism department to have the other nations have their stuff as well. Plus it would make the mod stand out over normal BF2 where all bombs look the same, and all weapons look the same on aircraft.Technoelite wrote:gonna be pretty sweet
BTW: GJ on the missile models! Finally we will have proper A10 Thunderbolt twos with Maverick missiles! I can't wait for that! Man I hope we get some new pilot only squad commands like shooter shooter/ Maverick Maverick......... and the like.
It's code for the A10s to roll in on target and shoot off their Maverick missiles at the target. Stuff like this would help out a lot for pilots. We could say watch you six! and other stuff that would make the player feel like they are rely flying a jet in a combat zone.
Also any plans to include two seater aircraft? We know it can be done with the BF2 choppers. Why not with jets as well? It was cool in BF2 to sit in the back of a F-15E Strike Eagle and use the TV guided missiles to attack the enemy with.

I was wondering why the Devs don't make any adjustments to the Humvee or any of the other jeeps that are ingame? Jets are cool and all but I for one and I'm sure there are many others who barely fly in them cause people still TK over them and also there are such long lines.
Heres to hoping that you guys will make some adjustments to the humvee. Specifically I would like to see a humvee without the open back but a closed one instead. That isn't that big of a change.
