[AAR] Now that's F*****G teamwork! (Lasing for the win)

I haven't gotten to play alot of PR lately, due to being busy with school, but one of the last rounds I played was awesome.

It was the battle for Quinling, the big China vs. GB combined arms map with the Coal Mine flag.

I joined a Close Air support squad on the China team at the beginning of the round, got made squad leader, grabbed a spec-ops kit, and it was on.

I used a Ning-Jin to drive around and lazed vehicles the whole game, only being killed once. Between the bomber and the J10 there were around 50 kills. Whenever I saw a tank I'd put an attack marker on it, give it a laze, and just guide the planes in. BOOOOOM!

However, the best part of the round, which now ranks in one of my top 10 PR moments, was when the GB took coal mine and build a Fire Base in that little bunker inside the pit.


The map was about half over at this point, and both sides were short on armor, mostly due to me Lazing Challengers and Warriors, and the Chinese type-88's sucking so bad. Anyway, both teams were using mostly trucks and jeeps to get around while they waited for armor to respond. One of our squads tried attacking coalmine, but ran into 2 deployed HMG's, a land rover, and about 15 guys all defending the flag. Needless to say they were wiped out.

Now, to that squad leader's credit, he requested close air support from us, which I was happy to oblige. I drove the coalmine, got on the mountains that surrounded it, and managed to get a look at the bunker. I called in the bomber, lasered the AA launcher right next to the firebase, and told him to come in hot. Just as he was flying over our squad was giving another attack, so as soon as they crested the hill the bomb hit and BOOOM, half the GB's team is gone and all the emplacements are down. I was laughing so hard!

I only wish the player who lasered the target got some points, but it was still awesome!

Seriously, does no one see how big of an advantage a 'CAS' squad makes rather than 'asking' for laser targets.

I think part of the problem is the training servers don't have many CAS squads most of the time. The Kashan desert map doesn't need much CAS because player know where the armor is most of the time. I usually try to make my own, but because some people don't do it the newer player join normal servers and just do what they do in the Training server...just keep spamming "I NEED A LAZE!".

P.S. TO the Topic Creator, good story! I liked the ending (I enjoy all stories that end with a "bang" :wink .
