[Video] Beautiful Insurgent Ambush!

[TGXV]Mnam made a very nice ambush on a Bradley. See how he first places a IED near the APC and then put a Mine at the entrance... Nice action! Enjoy!

Edit: Note: That's not us who are screaming ALLAHU ACKHBAR! From a vid.
And we fully mined, IEDed and grenade trapped the other entrance
The fact we could do this easy is that we build a forward outpost in the area ^^

Sigh, more gate camping :(

This video demonstrates why the something has to be done with the gate camping on the new insurgency maps.

Still, nice shot.

if you cant defend your base with conventional army against insurgents thats your fail :roll:
there are usually 2 gates ;-)

Fixed the emebding for you, no need for the www.vimeo.../, just the numbers at the end ;)

Oh, and BTW, there are two gates, one to the West, and one to the East, White Rock. Besides, as Danke's said, if you can't defend an FOB like that with the coalition, you fail :)

Nice organization though, hitting it once, getting it to retreat, then hitting it again by the gate :)

Fallujah's great for this stuff.

NE exit: proximity IED behind the central biggest rock -> dead infidels. Killcount so far in a couple of games: 3 apcs, 3 humvees, 2 trucks.

Main exit: preferably an artillery IED so you can take out an apc too. What I find kind of weird is that the IED didn't take it out in one go :p

And to people who complain about it being base-camping: I've sent a pm to duckhunt to ask him what he thinks about it, but until then I'll go by the assumption that
a) it's really not that hard to protect that place (couple of rounds ago there was a sniper/DM team on top of one of the mainbase buildings, made getting there nearly impossible)
b) how much trouble is it to look ahead? Ok, an artillery IED is hard to spot, but a proximity IED really isn't :p I've seen APCs send out foot patrols ahead of them, which means that unless you make the long haul to the other side of the wasteland outside the main base, they will probably find you (they usually check the hangar first :( )
c) It's not as if it's that easy :p the amount of times I've had to dive for cover as an infantry patrol ran past me...

When I completed the map and handed it over to fuzz to do the gamemodes, I had a rough draught, in which I made the combat area "dome of death" around the US main. It was quite large and when I tested it was impossible to reach near the gate(s) without dying.



I did not know it had changed, that will have probably been fuzzheads decision, so youll have to ask him for the reason.

I have not been able to play 85 yet but im glad people are enjoying fallujah!

Its this new type of "fear" that makes the game play oh so more realistic :P Insurgants should be allowed to baserape!

One bad thing though is the current civilian situation, civilians should be removed completely or at least not have a zeroing of your score as a punishment for shooting a civilian in the middle of calling in artillery on your ***... or even for shooting one within 50 meters from hostile forces.

Well i was playing Civi today on TG server, and i was being shot every half minute, I was killed about 5 times before i gave up and changed clases, if you dont check if its a civi its more frustrating for the civi as half of your team also doesnt check so hes dead all of the time.

I usually just use a bike to go back and forth (if I survive that is :p )

IMO it's just like on regular maps with the baseraping rules. You shouldn't want to hang around the enemies main/staiging area. In game it's a bit hard to achieve because, epecially as insurgents, dieing means nothing.
IRl i imagine there is a real dome of death around in wich the average insurgent doesn't want to belly crawl in.
Anyways i wouldn't call this an ambush but attacking, just because you easily can doesn't mean you should.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

Yes because the military technology is soo advanced we can build super death domes around bases that instantly kill any enemies coming near it...

Seriously I have never heard of this 'dome of death' actually existing anywhere, so I guess too much PR or too much sci-fi would be your case.

Nice video but whats with whole Allahu Akbar ****? I'm not even religious and I'm starting to find the whole use of it in PR quite offensive. It basically just means "God is great", its not some terrorist slogan.
