Yeah same here. Removed all Virus Software and opened up Ports, verified Steam BF2 Files, updated PunkBuster, turned off Windows Firewall. Looks like this issue is recent and likely from today, confidence that Admins will get it working again.

Looks like we all have this issue. I as well. I shall wait for the fix.

When I got the error and came to the forums to see if it was just me and saw the donations banner at the top the conspiracy theorist in me immediately thought "they took the servers down to make us donate?" Then I realized that was silly and I donated.

Big thumbs up to the guys that give their time to keep everything running!

I am having the same issue... can't connect and can't create new online profile.

April's fools perhaps?

I have not been able to create a new account to load PR for BF2. The server keeps refusing connection.

this hit me today followed the instructions on page 1 and nothin works wtf is goin on???? anyone know?
been playing all day then on a map change it all froze and not been able to log in since

same here, i can't connect for a couple of hours but i think it's up again now

The same exact thing happened to me just now. Was playing perfectly fine, the server crashed as well as my game, and now I can't log in or make a new online profile.

Same here. Worked fine yesterday now I got this error (win 8.1)

The master servers seem to be down. wait for a bit while its fixed and try again.

if you look at prspy you will see no servers which means as Ashishin said the master server is down

I have this issue, I am using a PR account, not BF2, and PRSPY shows servers up. I get the error after "Connecting to profile..." and I can't create a new online account either. Does this mean master server is down or is it something else?

edit: now it works...

Yes, why has nobody found a solution yet? why is this still a problem? What is causing it?
