[Win 8.1] Random minimizing of fullscreen programs

I've been having this problems as of late with my fullscreen games, and movies (VLC player) minimizing. This isn't such a big deal as I can just alt + tab as soon as I see it start minimizing. The real problem comes when I would like to fly and it randomly minimizes in flight. I've googled a lot and haven't found a fix so this is my last resort! Hopefully someone has had this problem and I can replicate their fix! Thanks!
