Are you saying that it's full of new players? This isn't exactly a thing you can pin on 1 specific server. Most servers were after 1.3. Or are you saying Australian players in general aren't experienced enough? (probably not the best thing to say given you are a New Zealander after all :mrgreen

Im not saying that the new players are bad. Im saying that you should cater to the new players by not running maps that requires 20 crewmen per team.

Both the player base isn't experienced enough to have 4km large layer maps, And the server is just painfully laggy at times.
We've made some major improvements in the lag department, we've fixed the mini-freezes every 20m or so, and removed the stuttering - upgraded to a Linux server (with a bit of help from tobi(PRTA)/ancientman and a few hints from surface runner(fcv))

Not that I did that much but hey good luck with your server guys.

Hello guys, new player here, Italian playing from Thailand...
looking into playing this game since few months but afraid about the ping...started to read around and it seems that high ping is not a big issue, so i tried to download the game yesterday aaand...well i tried to play on 3 different servers and the experience was not what i actually i was expecting.
Tried to join every single squad on both sides and no one was communicating... i mean that's why i downloaded this game, teamwork and most important communication, add that to the fact that i was lost in those big maps and you can easily guess i was getting killed like a chicken from nowhere and ragequitted soon.
I use to play games basically daily from 20.00 to ~ 01.00 GMT+7 ...i think that would mean Australia is 4 forward.
I'll try to hop in the team speak channel i found in this thread and see if something happen.
With 1.4 around the corner. Im happy to announce BigD will once again be running an ANZ server for the Oceanic Project Reality community. Unfortunately when 1.3 dropped, we had issues with our server host which led to weeks of downtime and terrible server ping which ultimately led to the early demise of the server. we have (hopefully) fixed these issues, and can't wait to see you on the battlefield.
