PR Mumble, USB headset

Post by Jukeb0x »

I've spent hours trying to solve this issue today and have completely ran out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem: PR Mumble does not appear to recognize the microphone portion of the headset. When I go to PR Mumble and try the audio wizard, I can hear the test, but it does not pick anything at all with the microphone. Ive already tried changing the input device to all available options, for the sake of trying, though nothing ever seems to work.

To make the matter more annoying, the headset works perfectly with every other program I have tried, including Windows itself, Steam, Skype, and (and this is worst part) Mumble. The audio wizard works perfectly in Mumble, only PR Mumble has this problem.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know...

Cheers

No I avoid USB stuff - hifi headphones with separate mic for me.

Have a search for this issue with 'Normal' mumble.

https://sourceforge.net/p/mumble/bugs/937/

Try to uninstall your sound driver and get the latest one.

There is no issue with 'Normal"mumble. The problem is only with PR mumble.

Those issues appear unrelated to mine, one of them has an output problem, and the other is to configure how to get chat audio and game audio through different outputs.

Tried the driver suggestion, but no luck

Pr mumble is just a reskinned integrated normal mumble, when I Google usb Mic mumble there are alot of hits suggesting various fixes.

Failing that as I don't have a usb mic I can.t compare to help but many times I have seen issues, even causing a crash in some cases.
