Small Arms

Two small arms family sound sets , opfor and bluefor, for the upcoming PR: Arma release. The AK and PK sounds were lovingly created by [R-DEV]Sofad especially for this release, and a joint effort ported the UK weapons sounds from PR: BF2 and beefed them up a bit for the Arma engine (which doesn't employ EAX).

Shooting the PKM is fun ... (L7 is quite a blast as well).

dunno... I feel the need for the "screen kick" for ironsights that you see on the scoped weapons. Without it, weapons feel like... baby toys...
They should feel like boys toys. :)

Dieing animations are so lame for ArmA 2 :/
Also the reloading animation for the PKM seemed to go very fast.

Apart from that, cool sounds, where did Sofad get them?

awesome sounds, PKM in bf2:PR sounds differnt though, maybe its better this way, but i really liked the bf2pr PKM sounds, they are raw. however, dont need the right click zoom (numpad +) limiting the sight distance to just normal and of course using the optics is sufficient. the right click should only be used for holding breath. some devs might see this observation as a "**** move" but i gotta give my honust opinion right? :)

sorry for beeing such an ***, but isn't that a L110(Minimi) instead of a L7, which would be a MAG?

anyway, the sounds are very good, looking forward to getting my virtual hands on these babys! :D

Sweet looks good . . one suggestion would be Remove the spotted Enemy Tracker thigny . . kind of unreal how you can track how he runs behind a wall with out seeing him . . how does the player know he doesnt stop and hide ? :O he doesnt that Right lol

LoL to all you commenting on me having it in nub mode .... of course thats not in the release ... thats just arma and me being to lazy to make sure its in 'veteran' :p

Recoil .... default arma as well (for the Opfor weapons that is). We will be working on that. All things in good time :)

And yeah I suck at sniping lol (though you should see me in a plane for a real laugh).

Good overall package. I dig the BLUFORs.
OPFOR though - AK and PKM sounds lack a snappy and metallic feel. PKM sounds too soft and lacks a "CLACK or BANG", AKs sound dry and wooden, lacks a snappy typical AK "clack" like the BF2:PR Aks have. Maybe use those instead?

BTW I can provide some samples if sofad is up for proper sound cooperation, I did lots of arma2 sound modding, found out a lot of stuff about gun sounds. :) Maybe hit up on skype or PRmumble?
