PR 1.0 Beta Testing Skirmish Footage #1

During the past couple of weeks the PR:BF2 testing team run some small test sessions, mainly focused around deviation and weapon changes.
Because we have not shared that much lately I thought it would be a great way to show you some "1.0 in action":

This is raw gameplay, slightly cut with chatting from developers/testers.
While I am aware that this doesn't really show anything new I hope you guys still enjoy it and get an impression how 1.0 feels and sounds.

Please keep in mind that this video shows work in progress.
Things you see or hear might have been changed already or will be changed until the public release.

Stay tuned, there is more to come...

Things I noticed:

-Seems like grenadier deviation still sucks.
-FAMAS is the new C7 in terms of being OP.
-New sounds and effects (explosions, muzzle flashes, and blood)
-Blood spray looks weird because the body doesn't jolt when hit
-Squads with more than 6 ppl; 2 medics for 100+player servers?
-New death physics look so silly because it looks like the spine disappears and bodies are trying to limbo a really low stick. I think the BF2 one looks better and more realistic because bullets actually transfer energy to the bodies, but this looks better in terms of bodies rolling around after death. A compromise between BF2 and this would be good. Otherwise, from the video all types of bullets just seem to pass through these soldiers without any transfer of energy which looks bad because they are obviously wearing clothing, and body armor that will cause the bullet to bleed energy into the soldier.

No offense, but other than the new sounds, animations and explosion effects, this video was rather disappointing in terms of how 1.0 is supposed to be the "best PR release ever." WIP or not, this is just my feedback based on the video.

Awesome! BUT! Where is the french part of the skirmish, did you record it ? Or you just want to hide them a bit longer?

new blood effect works like hit detection in vanilla.... u cant tell easily if u hit or miss the target

He made bad tragectory from the place he was shooting, you never set up range metter high, if you shooting off the tall building, it was not a problem of the deviation i think :X

Cool trembling screen with grenade explosions! Should help nicely with grenade assaults!

Nice new sound effects as well!

You can't really see much, but what you can see looks really good.

It's funny how you guys are aways asking for a deviation fix, now it seems like it has been fixed... and you guys are saying that the FAMAS is OP? what the hell... it's doing what it is intended to do, kill ppl eficiently... now that they're changing deviation, most weapons will look "op"...

And by the way... there was some mistakes in the video: Guy firing from the same location while he's getting fired upon.... dude walking around on the rooftop (hoping to dodge bullets) BEFORE the shootout started (hence attracting attention to the building)....

So.. if you get killed by an OP FAMAS, maybe you did something wrong (your buddy wasn't covering you, maybe you were loewolfing, maybe you forgot to check the top of that building... etc.. (everytime i die i think about what i did wrong, i blame myself first... if i reach the conclusion that i didn't do anything wrong, i blame the squad leader, (if i'm not the sl)...in case the squad leader wasn't wrong, they're probably hax.)

etc etc...

I think the new version looks creat, the only thing that i thought was kinda weird was the Dying animation, they look extremely weird, it looked like the guy started floatin in the air for some time before he fell on the ground....

The pink mist looks AWESOME,and i love it how there's only pink mist when it's a headshot.....

Really good.. i'm impressed.

the new animations and sounds are... superb.. alright..>

Now i have a question, at 07:00, when he got fired upon, he went for cover behind the little wall by pressing z and going prone... After that, he quickly got up and ran towards the building... the movemente seemed so fluid... normaly these kinds of movements are kinda laggy, sometimes you get stuck, it's frustrating... like when you're crouching and you need to get on prone and etc...

are you guys working on that?

i need to sleep... feeling dizzy.

Actually thats my channel :D and I play as you can see when I open up the sqaud menu
