Guess the RPG-7 Warheads!

Hey all! Over the past month and a bit I've been working on updating and optimizing the RPG-7 Series since our old RPG-7 warhead setup wasn't at all optimized and there was also vast room for improvement in both quality and optimization, as well as adding far more verity of RPG-7 Warheads, including different types of round that will require different tactics.

I'm not going to go into too many details about them all right now as much of it is still WIP and this blog is more a fun little game for you all to try and work out what all these rounds are and what they might do so have fun guys!

I'm looking for both the correct name and type of warhead and once someone has guesses the correct name and warhead type for a particular one I'll update this list in the OP with the correct name of the correct guessed warhead :D

Note 1: I have blurred out some of the text names on the warheads you could see but ingame you will be able to read the names of the warheads with them printed on the side :)
Note 2: Some of these rounds you may not see straight away in the next release as they will be integrated in over time with other changes to the core gameplay, however most of them will be seen in the next PR release.
Note 3: PR Team members are not allowed to participate or help the community out since they all pretty much know what each one is :p

Correct Guesses so far:
  1. PG-7V - HEAT Round
  2. PG-7VM - HEAT Round
  3. PG-7M - HEAT Round
  4. PG-7VS - HEAT Round
  5. PG-7VL - HEAT Round
  6. Cobrra - HEAT Round
  7. Iranian Tandem HEAT Round
  8. PG-7MT - Tandem HEAT Round
  9. PG-7VR - Tandem HEAT Round
  10. KO-7M - HEDP Round
  11. OG-7VM - Fragmentation Round
  12. OG-7V - Fragmentation Round
  13. F-7 - Fragmentation Round
  14. DZGI-40 - Airburst Fragmentation Round

Yep, although technically just a Fragmentation Round but I'll give you that.
Navo;bt10379 wrote:14 - Airburst HE/Frag
Not its fall name :p
Steeps;bt10380 wrote:1 - PG-7 HEAT
2 - PG-7M HEAT
5 - PG-7L HEAT
9 - PG-7R tandem HEAT
15 - TBG-7 thermobaric
Close but not quite on any of them, your missing a key letter which dose make the difference since some rounds don't use it :p
curahee150;bt10381 wrote:I think 12 is also the OG-7V HE/FRAG but I believe a different weight.
close but not quite :)
curahee150;bt10381 wrote:13 - Chinese type II HEAT

Amazing. One of the most satisfying toys PR has to offer. Wonder how all these are to be integrated though, if there's only two AT kits with two configs each?

1- ПГ-7Л \ PG-7L
2- ПГ-7ВМ \ PG-7VМ
8- Polish PG-7MT
9 - ПГ-7ВР "Резюме" \ PG-7VR tandem cumulative (!)
14- Might be a TGB-7VL
15- ТБГ-7B "Танин" \ TBG-7V Thermobaric

Will we see a thermobaric warheads as a new Rifleman AP weapon?

Also, why non-Soviet warheads have Soviet instructions? =D

No sorry, that is another pretty different round and technically also only the top part of it and not the full rocket.

yep, although the PG-7MT1 is a slightly upgraded version afaik to the PG-7MT we are representing ingame but afaik, look the same :)

Yes for 2, yes for 8 but Paul beat you to that one, yes for 9 technically know in English as a Tandem HEAT round, no for 14, haven't even heard of that round myself (got any pics?) and yes for 15 :)
KSVM_UA_;bt10388 wrote:Also, why non-Soviet warheads have Soviet instructions? =D
hehe, this is partly down to the way I've set the RPG-7 rounds up with them all using a common rocket motor and expelling charge textures, with a few colour variations (but all using the same normal and spec maps) to save on memory etc and in r/l you often see soviet rocket motors and expelling charges being attached to other types of round too.

hehe nope, best to post new replys here guys with how fast replies are popping up rather than editing old ones unless really quick edits :)
curahee150;bt10384 wrote:1 - PG-7V HEAT

yes to all although 2, 5 and 9 have already been guess :p

My bad. 1 is ПГ-7В\ PG-7V, the oldest RPG-7 warhead.
3 or 4 is ПГ-7ВС\ PG-7VS
5 is ПГ-7ВЛ "Луч" \PG-7VL

TGB-7VL is just a modernized TGB-7V.

Also this powder cylinder has some pretty memorable language XD

there is one distinct difference between 3 and 4, other than its colours/textures, that set them apart ;)
